Akka think it over...you get to use the famed kabeem kubam..sorry garuda puranam punishments...:D...actually after reading your desires especially the spirituality stuff...it just leads to the familiar story of humans beliving that god can be reached by immense devotion..spirituality or through some wise eye opener type of person.

Let me remind us that God said if we help ourselves...he will help us..and he has always said we are his children..there is no need for spirituality and devotion..live your life properly and help others and when the time comes..you will reach GOD..besides god is in each and everyone of us...there is no need to realise where he is and how to realise him...that only shows that we believe GOD is some unseen door that has to be unlocked by some puzzle. Remember that by our kindess and simplicity...we are always reaching GOD...i have felt GOD loads of times without listening to gurus or anybody else...i always felt that if we learn through our mistakes and guide ourselves using our experiences and gain the strength to go through it...that itself is reaching GOD..GOD is always guiding us no matter where we are...it is just that we humans always believe he is in the form of some messenger or that we need to do meditation etc to reach him....:)

A friend of mine has been married for 14 years and has no children. A few years back someone from India visited a temple nearby and she went to see this swamiji...he took her thumbprint and went back to India. ! month later, she received a recorded message (in a cassette) from the swamiji.. What he told was that she is childless because in her previous birth she was such an arrogant, rich lady who had many servants in her house and she kicked one of the servants, who was pregnant at that time. The foetus died and it is the curse of the foetus that made her childless..... :roll:
She did a lot of penance for that and has been going for many fertility programs and yet, she's still childless.... :(

I don't know whether to believe or not..but this story of hers is teh first of the kind that i've heard ..... :roll:

I was childless for quite some years. The diff is I was not much concerned bout it, except my health issues. It did not affect me psycologically.

I believe in the cycle of rebirths etc. But Why another birth at all ? The reason for birth is to exhaust our Karmas or Samskaras which had been accumulated over numerous births. And In the next birth also one would commit the same or similar actions, accumulate more loads of Karmas - thus the cycle of Birth & Death will go on forever. Its better to seek ways to finish off all the Karmas in this birth itself. So that after one's Death, no more Births ! Straightaway you will be flying on a stairway to heaven !
