hi all,
i tried this one and it was good.....a treat for those who enjoy healthy eating.... :)
SIU MAI
(steamed wontons with chicken and shrimp filling)
ready made wonton wrappers - 15
filling:
minced chicken - 200 gms
minced shrimps - 100 gms
minced ginger and garlic - 1 tsp each
shredded carrots - 30 gms
shredded mushrooms - 30 gms
shredded cabbage - 30 gms
salt , pepper
sugar a pinch
sesame oil - 1 tbsp
1. mix all the filling items and keep for 10 minutes.
2. place inside the wrappers., steam in the bamboo steamers lined with cabbage / lettuce leaves.
3. serve accompanied with soy sauce and chilli sauce.
