kanaka shaila is by Shyama Sastri
There is a 'saraNam ayyappa' by Papanasam Sivan in Mukari. It is quite possible the singer changed the raga. There are other songs starting with same words.

Is it a classical song which was sung in the movie?
The composer Thyagaraja begins the composition with the line
'Ela nee dhaya raadhu paraaku jese' but, the singer starts with
'baala kanaka maya'. This was sung in a movie 'salangai oli', I think, where the actor Kamalahasan dances.

The rAgA sounds like a combination of AbhOgi and bAgeshrI.
