In Tamil Nadu, it is Pongal day; in Assam, it is Bhogali Bihu; in Andhra Pradesh, it is called Bhogi; in Punjab, the harvest festival is called Lohri; and Makar Sankranti in rest of the country, Karnataka/Maharashtra/Uttar Pradesh/Bihar/Bengal.
