Jeans IMO was an awful movie ,ofcourse I could be baised because I cant stand aishwarya rai and I generally dont like triangle love stories.Almost all my friends also hated the movie.Hence I thot it wasnt a hit.I like Kannedhire thondrinal.I think prashant is an ok actor though on the whole.just has the misfortune to pick dumb movies.

According to director Ramesh Selvan, the girl is Ferhana, a former Miss Maharashtra.

‘After a thorough search we managed to find out the girl. She perfectly fits the role we had conceived in the movie'.

The director is quick to say that she would only be playing a significant role while a popular actress would play the heroine.

Runway stars Prashanth in the lead role and is being directed by Ramesh Selvan, who had directed movies like Jananam and Ulavu Thurai before.

One just cannot fathom why Prashanth has signed so many films and shooting in bits and pieces haphazardly for two or three films at the same time! What is he trying to prove, that his career is booming?

As of today, he has two completed films Adaikalam and Thakappansamy waiting to be released and is now shooting or announced films like Petrol, Pulanvisarnai-2, Jambavan and Runway!

And what happened to all the projects that he had announced earlier with much fanfare like Police, a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaakhe, Arun Weds Harini, Taxi Driver and Sakkarai?

Prashanth is a good actor.His performance in Tamizh,Virumbugireyen are good.But he couldn attract the crowd.Thats mainly because he didn grow up,moulded properly when there is no competition.Remember Prashanth is senior to Ajith and Vijay.When people got fed up by seeing faces like Vijayakanth,Sathyaraj,Karthik ..Prashanth looked really fresh(Thats why his first movie Vaigaasi Porandhachu went well) .But Thyagarajan didn help Prashanth initially as SAC did to Vijay.

It was a close shave for cinematographer Sridhar at the shooting of Prashanth starrer Thagappansamy last week when they were filming a stunt sequence.

Says Prashanth, ‘A horse-riding scene was shot featuring Pooja, Karunas and myself at a remote village down South. In order to get the real feel, cinematographer was canning the sequence at a close range using a steady cam. Unfortunately the horse in which we were riding suddenly changed direction and ended up kicking Sridhar, who sustained bleeding injuries. Pooja was also mildly hurt. We immediately rushed them to hospital and everything is now fine'.
