Um.......well, I was intending to go for an "old Fiat" (u know, the ones w/ the front doors opening backwards! :)) but then my mum veto'd it.........so currently sticking to my Lambretta (actually Vijai Super) scooter, which is my daily transport........and planning to buy a nice Herald too as I got smitten by it, altho its in Pune & I'm yet to finalise the deal.......! :)
Btw, glad to know tat u happen to know wat my old ID (Stan Her) meant! Not many knew tat & in sum cases I ended up called as Stan......! :D

Yes it cud get expensive if u get addicted to it.....tats y I've decided to hav not more than 1 car/scooter each.
I may hav found it mimpressive to look at ppl. who hav huge collections to boast abt......but in the long-run, I know how it'll eventually get!

I don't know if there are labrettas still but until 1978 there were. Coca Cola was not available at that time. This year I tried pepsi and as I baught it, upperpart it was as clear as water. tasted also like water. Both Pepsi and Coke were of bad taste. Very bad.

One of my uncles had a vespa and a lambretta. Using both but not at the same time.

I had a friend from SL who was also into classic cars/bikes.......incidentally, he'd even been to this large scrapyard on the road between Colombo & Kandy, full of '50s/'60s British cars! There's a pic. of it here:

Now it is full of japanese vehicles. and full of Bajaj bikes. If I am honest I have no idea about women and vechiles. I only use to ride them. :lol:
