Tamil font problem

I have problem in Tamil font
When I type directly here there are no problems but when I copy from word document and paste it here

the following line


அபிராமியõ¨Á பதிகம்
எங்கள் பார்¨Åயில்


appears thus

அபிராமியம்மை பதிகம்
எங்கள் பார்வையில்

I have to correct it here once again. This os okay for samll text but for a large text this is a problem. What could be the reason? I am seeing the same character distortion on goggle also.

Could any one thro some light on this and how to solve

Just tell the solution to me also...

It's some strange quirk while copy&paste-ing from Word. It could be because tamil characters occupy the range that Word uses for special purposes. Temporary solution is: edit it out after paste-ing..

You can try copying from Notepad, instead of Word..

RR, word is a problem for me with other stuff too. When I type something into word, copy and paste into Oracle forms screen and generate another rtf from it, I get loads of funnies, the only way I can get around it is by typing in notepad :)
