Everbody in our life would have a first love or a crush or someone, which most of the time fades away either because it was infatuation or because of 1000 other reasons. Lets talk about that.
Mine was with a neighbour whom I found quite attractive, he used to turn around my house and wait for my Darisanam. It made me feel like a goddess so important.....His name was Ravi. I was in my teens, as my family was VERRRRY VERRY strict, I never got beyond, even though I would have loved to. I am now happily married with 2 kids and a great hubby, but I can never forget him.
Share your experiences too.
If anyone tells that he or she never had such experience, that person lies. I have already heard some really cute experiences.
SO GO AHEAD AND SHARE

See what an opportunity the new world offers.Anyone can be anonymous and still talk their hearts out here on the web. :D
I too would not have been averse to sharing a few incidents if it wasn't that my wife knows about the hub and even my username.
And if any teenage girl is reading this, don't give in to someone who makes you feel like a Goddess. It will be better for you to belong to the mother earth as long as you bodily live here :D .

Big deal...!
I believe, the greatest gift is
to be true to oneself and one's loved ones.
My husband KNOWS all important incidents of my life. He trusts me and understood me for what I am, cares and loves me for my true and honest self. I can open up for sure.
Mine... if we are talking about infatuation, was with a co-passenger in the bus. He used to travel to his college in the same bus. Just stand behind me and smile. NOTHING SPOKEN, except smiles and glances.
Last day of his college, his classmates were talking about the day being the last day.. and he meaningfully gave a glance to me again, which I reciprocated. That Was the last day I met him.
Guess I never cried, I remember it, as a nice cute incident of friendship nothing beyond it. He used to speak hindi amidst his friends, so my urge to see hindi serials used to be teased by my friends.
NOTHING LOST. I guess it was not even infatuation.
()
Next major incident was much later, after my coll.
This guy was already engaged, HE KNEW that he cant afford to fall in love. I knew it too that he was engaged and hence I cant afford falling in love... but we could not help liking each other.
One fine day, he came and confessed, told me he is willing
to call off his engagement, which I refused, as I was not prepared to live on someone else's crushed dreams.
Yes I CRIED. Cried a lot. Guess I invited it upon myself.
Knowing he is engaged, I need to have been LIL more careful not to fall in love. The punishment is crying.
I cried like mad, in solitude for many many years.
That was it. I still cherish his memories and wish for his good life. I can never EVER forget him.
I believe love is GIVING UP for the sake of happiness of others.
He lives happily in my memories. I cherish them. I never fear or feel guilty about it, cause i feel, it was just natural to fall in love and to stay in love.
LOVE DOES NOT MEAN, NEED NOT MEAN, marriage or sex.
It can just be well wishing for the other persons happiness.
So that was and still IS, my first LOVE. :)

I wonder howmany here can be hundred percent honest to their partners about past love affairs.I am sure there are a lot of lucky, understanding hubbies and wives here.
But I would rather not try my luck and be myself.I don't ask my wife what has happened in the past and I don't want myself to be asked that question either.
And I wonder what I would think if my wife tells me that she can't forget her old lover even after we had a coule of children.
Cheers to all the big hearted people here.Have a good time sharing your love stories with your spouse. :?

That is YOUR prerogative whether to share your past with your spouse or otherwise.
If one has let go the emotions of the past associated with the 'special one' then, I don't see why it has to be buried deep within.

If it is all about 'letting yourself go',I would suggest that these people meet a psychologist rather than awarding that position to their husbands or wives. To be practical,I don't think any of these husbands and wives will appreciate the love stories of their spouses.

Hi Blahblah,
I did not cheat husband or anything like that, it was just a teenage attraction, there are even friends who one each month. Everbody experience this feeling, if they tell no, they are lying.
It is not that you go out and date someone, ditch that person and boast about that to your hubby. We have a good laugh with my husband when I talk about all these road side romeos each with one "SIGHT" telling "ithu enn allu" etc. It amuses him, he was a NRI who was born and bred abroad and can never understand these kind of things, they date directly etc. He tells that our stories( Indians from India) are so cute.
The eyes talk, the head goes down with shyness, all these things exists only in MY COUNTRY. There is really no shame in talking about these things to your life partner. My story went one for atleast 2 years. Towards the end even though I did not give any response I started to wait for him. Even if he failed to come 1 day, I was so sad. Today I cannot tell whether it was true love or what I was only 17 u know! but it was an excellent sensation to be loved and showered with so much of attention.
Mine was an arranged marriage the love I have for my hubby developped little by little and is sure a matured and true love. My husband tells me that he married me because of his mother's forcing(and also he found me cute hi hi) and that he had a love affair with a chinese girl at college.
ONCE AGAIN, I DID NOT ASK FOR YOUR LOVE STORIES BUT UR 1ST LOVE OR CRUSH WHICH HAPPENS USUALLY IN YOUR TEENS AND IS MOSTLY AN INFATUATION WHICH IS NATURAL AND NOTHING BAD OR VULGAR

Hmm......a topic tat I often feel embarassed to share.....!
Btw, is this only abt 1st crush or just abt ne. no. of crushes tat we had?? :D If so, then (deep breath!), I might get a little bold to pour out mine here:
Well, my first crush was when I was just 8 yrs old!......twas on this cute little tamil girl who was just 4-5! (do I find u raising eyebrows? :lol2: ) It was circa late '80s when we were living in Jodhpur (Raj.), her parents were family friends of mine......we used to visit each other's homes often & I'd play w/ her......
Now tat I think of it, it was really bizarre......maybe even abysmally foolish   but for sum reason I fell in 'love' w/ tat little girl, even to the extent of telling my shocked parents tat she was the one I wished to marry when we grew up!
Finally a year or so later, her father was transferred to Assam where they moved......never saw her again since, altho her mother & mine had exchanged letters for a while from which I got to know tat the girl had eventually forgotten us (which is common w/ a child's memory I guess)......& today, even I don't treat this as nething more than a childish infatuation......as I said, I wasn't even of the 'right' age for such things!
Moving on, my next 'puppy love' was a few yrs later, this time when we were transferred to bhuvaneswar (orissa)......this girl was just a couple of yrs younger than me, her father worked in the same institute where mine was posted as director (which was mainly y I was hesitant to directly express my 'feelings' to her), so our quarters were in the same campus. A year later we moved from there back to Hyd. & I again dismissed this as another immature illusion..... :D
And finally, moving onto tat tempestous, ever-misleading adolescence  , I was in 9th class (circa mid '90s), it was on my history teacher! She was of course married & having 2 children, the 2nd one being born just then......and pleease! it was not a lust/sexually-oriented infatuation as usually in adolescence.....for tat matter, she was the last type of woman who'd give u those kind of feelings- always simple/modest to the core in her appearance/attire & mannerisms.....hair in a simple plait, 'basic' jewellery, no make-up etc. & she still wore old-fashioned bottus 'painted' to her forehead rather than the modern stick-on ones.....& most of all, she was one of the few women I've known in recent times (apart from my mother) who wore a Saree properly (or 'conservatively' as today's bold yuppie wud put it!).....I was naturally careful never to let slip these feelings of mine towards a teacher as long as I was in school, nor even when I met her later whenever I visited my ex-school.....but since then, unlike my 1st 2 'forgotten' crushes, I've found myself thinking of her often, to the extent of wishing not only her but also for her husband's/children's well-being/happiness! Also I've since been wanting a wife who'd be just like her in appearance/nature (she was also one of the few teachers who'd taught us quite a few values)! I do intend to marry a school teacher altho tat's a diffrnt issue, has nothing to do w/ my ex-teacher.....& this'll prob. be the last crush tat I'd ever hav......!

Well, stan, from the way I see it, what you had/have for the teacher is nothing more than admiration and respect. Though at that age, anything and everything would seem as love. You were actually awed by her simplicity and good demeanor.
Nothing to be embarrassed, stan.
You did pick a good role-model.

Tks AR! Hope my wife wud pick the same! :D
Now feeling a relief too (*phew*)
Still, not sure if tat really was love.....maybe it was just a sheer infatuation/crush of a different kind....different to tat of most guys of my age atleast!
Or maybe it was love, going by SP's stmnt tat love needn't mean marriage/sex....just concern/wishing the other person's well-being :D

In early teens, in high school mostly & in UG years in college, almost every student has a favourite teacher, loving him or her to the point of madness! It is sheer infatuation, puppy love, but has a great role in shaping the individual's personality. Evergreen memories of that foolish adoration remain throughout one's life. :D

Its all probability ratio. As long as u stay put in India the probably is less. Its increases, depending on the country surroundings/nationality and crowd one socialises with.

Exactly, PP ma'm! :D Esp. lady teachers.......I've come across ppl. (even in this hub) telling how teaching in schools used to be a matter of pride for one 3-4 decades ago & teachers wud play a major role in imparting not just textbk but also value education to their wards, watever classes they might've been in, whereas tat isn't the case today where teaching is just another routine job & is considered much low-profile comp'd w/ the common 'professional' fields today! :(
