Vallavan made by Simbhu, has made many promises and given several deadlines for release; the deadlines have passed away, but the film is yet to see the light of day. What are the reasons for these delays? It is reported that Simbhu is a perfectionist and wants perfection in every frame. Though all are pressurizing him to hurry up and finish the film, he continues to be slow, steady and patient in his search for perfection. The current deadline is May 2006 for the release of Vallavan; as we said in the headline, “Vallavan: May release”. Read it either way.

Is there something brewing between Silambarasan and Nayantara? The Kodambakkam grapevine is abuzz with stories of the couples clandestine meetings and frantic exchange of SMS messages. Simbu in a way has become Nayan’s protector and savior.

It all started when Simbu met Nayan on the sets of P.L.Thenappan produced Vallavan. At the time of its launch, a provocative poster was launched that caught the attention of the entire industry and trade in which Simbu was biting Nayan’s lips!

Actually it was Simbu’s (he is also the director)idea to shed Nayan’s girl-next-door image that she had in Chandramukhi, which seemed to have worked as this poster got the best possible publicity! Overnight Nayantara became the glamour queen of Kollywood which also made Vallavan hot in the trade.

Simbu also had a casting coup when he had two more glam girls Reema Sen and Sandhya in Vallavan and the film is a thriller set in a high school campus with rollicking music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Meanwhile Nayantara found a “good friend” in Simbu which slowly turned into admiration. Unlike Trisha and Asin, Nayan does not have a father or mother to look after her career and she lives alone in a Chennai hotel. She takes her own career decisions while her parents stay in Tiruvalla in Kerala.

Nayan has found a shoulder to unburden her worries in Simbu. It was on his advice that she shifted from the Park Hotel to Metropolitan (formerly Traders Hotel) on G.N.Chetty road where she has a permanent suite.

The buzz is that they are always sending SMS and meeting for dinner at Paprika, the coffee shop at the newly opened Courtyard Marriott. Simbu is also extending the shooting of Vallavan as Nayan quietly doles out dates without batting an eyelid!

Finally actor Simbu has come to the rescue of actor-director Praveen Kanth.

The latter's production venture Thullal, which also starred him in the lead role was lying in the cans for a long time.

When the news of a peppy song sung by Silambarasan for the movie spread, it found a buyer, who has promised to release the film all over the State.

When asked, Praveen Kanth says, 'It was difficult time for me to have completed my movie and waiting several months for its release. Thankfully when the news of Silambarasan singing a song which was all about jewels in the movie spread, a prominent production has come forward to utilize the song for their promotion and also help me in releasing the movie'.

Thullal would see the light of the day in the last week of April and a Chennai-based jewellery house is distributing the movie throughout Tamil Nadu.

Well, I have to admit, I dint have any intention to watch MANMADHAN when it got released, cos I dint have any good intention abt Simbu after watching his first few movies ... But all my friends watched MANMADHAN the first day, and told me the movie rocks ... So while I was at work, I decided to download the first part, and see how the movie was for the first 30 mins, and then decide whether to watch it fully or not .... :P :P

To my surprise the first scene itself, that I've narrated below ROCKED like anything, and then the movie never failed to keep the audience thrilling throughout ... Though the 2nd half was a little boring with all the College love and stuff, the first half and the last few mins were soooooo good ... Just wanted to share that first scene with you guys today !! The Simbu starrer Vallavan should have hit the screens last Pongal yet, the movie seems nowhere near completion even today with the Tamil New Year fast approaching. What’s holding up? Inside sources blame Simbu. He keeps changing the story every now and then. The purpose of his changing the story is to give Nayantara’s role more weight and footage. Everyone knows that the two are more than buddy buddy and Simbu’s going out of the way to accommodate his girl is irking everyone in the unit right from Reema Sen to Producer Thaenappan. Simbu wants Nayantara on the sets whenever he is shooting. There is another reason for the delay.

Simbu attends every function or pooja in the industry and this takes him away from the sets. Producer Thaenappan rues the day he signed up this star.

Silambarasan really needs to get out of his rajini styled mannerisms as he is actually quite a good actor. Give him movies that move away from his little superstar image and perhaps we will see a really good actor in the scene.

Silambarasan is campaigning for his father and actor-director T Rajendhar, who is contesting from Mayiladuthurai in the forthcoming Assembly elections.

His long-pending Vallavan featuring Nayantara, Reema Sen and Sandhya too is nearing completion.

The next question which immediately crops up is what is his next move?

According to sources, Silambarasan has been assigned to play the lead role in a movie to be produced by director Saran's Gemini Films International.

The actor has been reportedly paid a hefty sum as advance and it looks most likely that the movie would go to floors this June.

Buzz is that the movie might be directed by director Charan himself or Vishnuvardhan, after the success of Pattiyal, may step in.

The never ending shooting of P.L.Thenappan’s Vallavan continues at the Prasad studio in Chennai. The red-hot title song in the film Vallavaa Vallavaa… was picturised on Simbu and Nayantara by choreographer Brinda.
Top fashion designer Chaitanya Rao has designed Nayantara and Simbu’s costumes. The pretty actress was wearing a skimpy asymmetrical skin coloured single piece halter neck. Nayan looks vivacious as she has lost almost 8 kilos and she was pretty confident to wear tight fitting clothes.

Simbu was wearing blue jeans with a skin coloured sleeveless vest. Later, like Salman Khan he discarded the vest as he sizzled with Nayan to the tunes of Yuvan Shankar Raja. Choreographer Brinda urged Nayan to look sexier as cameraman Priyan canned the shot. All the songs in Vallavan are said to be outstanding.

This title song is sure going to be a highlight of the film and Simbu is taking all care to make it different. Brinda seems to be inspired from the dancing classic “Dirty Dancing”, the musical and romantic film featuring the hunk Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey. Who can forget that lovely song in the film- “Have the time of your life….”

Well truly, Simbu and Nayan are having the time of their life making Vallavan.

You should say dance steps...saravanna is a remake of a telungu movie which had teja and the same heroine in it i guess...nothing much for the direction except for the way the action scenes are shaped.
