Who can forget `Anandha dhAgam' and `ivaL dEvadhai, idhazh mAdhuLai' from vA indhappakkam? My personal favourite of his works is the Malayalam song `vaishAka sandhyE' in the Mohanlal film `nAdOdikkAtRu'...

Indeed Shyam was a very good MD.... Unfortunately for him... IR was at his awesome best.... at his peak.... and the whole industry veered towards IR....
Shyam got little opportunities but did well... and scored some hits...

especially... Eval Devadhai.....Edhaz maadhulai

I think another ... Raagam oru raagam eni naalum paadalaam... by Deepan Chakravarthy... was also by SHyam only... Lovely song...
