"Chinna Papa Periya Papa" and

"Alli Raajiyam"

which will not give tension and heart attack for us.

Chinna pappa periya pappa has various versions of MIL AND DIL. Now with nalini on, its not my cuppa tea to watch.

I remember watching hindi episode "tu tu mein mein". This was intended to be tamizh version the similar concept. I guess nobody is doing a great job in this serial. The languages exchanged and cursings done are too much to digest as a reality.

Subtle ego clashes with lots of humour would have been ncie to watch rahter than silly verbal exchanges with dumb stories.

Just my opinion. My hus likes to watch this serial though :)

Infact everbody was in their seat end..to know who is Karuppu...concept of Spirit personality was introduced by Naga...

There were lot of wonderful serials in late 80's and early 90's....

- Foji (Sharukh Khan)
- Circus (Sharukh Khan)
- Hum Panchi ek daal ke (Thanks lordstanher for reminding those golden serials...i liked it too!)
- Hoaney Unhoaney - It was abt previous birth...
- Mahabarath was best.
Ramayan was boring... the dialogues were very draggy and slow...
But Mahabarath was very fast and really fanatastic and interesting with lots of characters!! I liked it more b'cos everyone were really very smart in that .....like Kanna, Karna and Abhinayu characters were my favourites that time! :wink:
-Tu tu Mein mein (In the Hindi Version the family bond, the sentiments , the respect given by the DIL to MIL were all intact...and the comedy was just centered on ego clash... and was interesting! But Chinna Pappa Periya Pappa is utter rubbish when compared to that!...infact now it is like "Chinna Pappa and Pattabi".)
- Forgot the name - It was a comedy serial centered around a couple with their 5 daughters. Was really very funny!!
.....and lot more....I forgot many of the serial names...

I think "ithu oru kathal kathai" is a really good serial which is being aired on Vijay Tv right now. Its by K. Balachandar and the story revolves around love, and not the typical mamiyar-marumagal story line.

Penn was good, but it could have been better.

For example, what happened to that couple who were of different religion and one of them played the violin. They never showed that couple in the end....
I felt like there were alot of loose ends..

Also, the Maya character in Selvi acted in Alaigal too...

irandaam sanakian ...that had venu aravind in it....its was okay..but it was perdictable who the sanakien was....you should watch it only if ur interested in watching tricks ( eg. levitation)..otherwise it doesnt go so much towards a good plot.

One of the best serials which is going on right now is Ahalya( on sun tv)..also Idhu oru kathal kathai on vijay tv is good too.

Alot of people have said Malargal is good too!

sindu pairavi part -2 best in JJ TV.
the acting of the new face new sindu was natural and great. one of the best performance that is rate to see

engurunthu vanthal is recent best in JJ TV.

all did very well and the drama was nicely done and ended in time without dragging

the akila has lots of talant to be used better

Nilaivai pidipom was good in the beginning..but the ending was so sudden. I was sitting there thinking , "Thats it??."

I think they wanted to end it before people thought it was dragging on. Ah well...it gave way to IOKK ( idhu oru kathal kathai) so im happy!
