Before I went, I had a google search. surprise is not about Rajani but about Sivaji I mean Sivaji Ganeshan. I didn't get a single link on the first page about SG. it is all about Rajani's Sivaji.

about film my simple comment: other than Rajani's style, the combination of Rajani and vivek is very good.

I try to find shankar's work.Big project as usual. Very big becos of Rajani. Normally vivek brings his own work for every movie. How about this film? Shankar or vivek?

Make up of Rajani is significantly good. Here Shankar passes a message to everybody. At last Sivaji became as MGR is funny.

I am still sick of:
* Hero puching twenty or fifty thadiyans at a time
* couples dance with 100 or 500 ppl

there is no remote control for theatre. :D

Chandramuki is much much better than Sivaji.

this kaNNi is six seer viruththam. When sunami came so many ppl wrote poems. I was not in that mood. but later i was wondering such happenings mentioned in kalki's ponniyin selvan. The marks of such devastation still remains physically and mentally ( in so many families ).

He is cute :) and he was my favourite right from the beginning and I expected him to win the finals but unfortunately it didnt work out :( :cry: Romba mood out aayittEn after they announced the winner :cry: Eventhough the other guy was also good, Vignesh is more talented and kind of an all rounder who is good in all departments - classical, melody and folk. And he is very expressive, spiritted and lively. He is a typical 'sutti payyyan" :)

I agree that there were some other capable contestants. That small kid who sang chinna kannan azhaikiraan was Bala Sarangan. He also sang "kanA kandEnadi" and "malarnthum malaraatha" extremely well. Out of all female singers "Thanyashree" was the best I would say. Much better than the 2 who got selected to the final 5 by the judges. But unfortunately she got eliminated because she had to compete with the best 2s in the semi finals. Abarna was amazning in 'western' style. The way she sang Rahathullah in the finals was simply :thumbsup: Besides she was very humble.

I also liked that tiny Mallu boy Roshan (name has got nothing to do here :P ). He didnt know to speak a single word in Tamil but yet his pronunciation and presentation were remarkable.



Two of finalist also mentioned that that guy will be tough to beat.

Obviously he was there all through out. He won the best performance award in the preliminary rounds twice. I was holding my breath when he was singing maruthamalai maamaniyE- fearing that he will not be able to pull it through - but he was simply brilliant and I couldnt control my tears when he finished singing it. I felt the same when he sang 'vanthAL magalakshmiyE" in the finals. So beautiful and extra ordinarily talented.

The other guy's father and mother spoke just few minutes before the finals and it was all very sentimental (very artificial too). His father cried ( athuleyum pOlithanamthAn athigam) and was telling that they are a poor family, romba kashtapadurOmda.. neethAndA win panni enga kashtatha pOkkanum.. and all. That gained him lot of sympathy votes I guess. But for Vignesh only friends spoke and no body was uttering sentimental stuffs. Had it been a judges' decision I am sure he would have won hands down. Sms vechu sothapitaanga :evil:

Exactly !!! Thats what I also felt. EthO vEnumnE paNNa mAthiri irukku :evil: And Krishnamoorthi's father didnt sound genuine. It was very artificial and as a response to his parents' message he said "neenga azha vEndiya avasiyamE illa.. neenga ethukku azhutheengannu enakku puriyala" - the boy took it so lightly. He was not moved at all and it was obvious the parents created a drama. The disappointment was very visible in Usha Udup and Chitra when Dr Balamurali Krishna announced the winner. Usha madam's eyes got filled with tears and it was very obvious. Everything was organised pretty well but finals-la ippadi paNNitaanga. Anyway, Vignesh will remain in the viewers' hearts for ever. Such a brilliantly talented boy. He is so cute too.



Vignesh was marvellous but the pity the runner up was not given any prize, except the trophy.

Who ever who watched the program said this. Even Sai Charan (one of the finalists) got a prize money as part of a special award.
