Headistry is a very valid science. When we were small, kids would take one look at the "suli" in our heads, and conclude that so-and-so will have two wives :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

I know one reason for Mars being assigned the no.9. Its because its neither too near the sun nor far away from it. this, neither this - nor that factor has made the planet mars to be linked with no.9 :lol:

But seriously, what is Hubbology? Is it another science whose objective is to prove that Aalapuzhai Appukuttan(the snake charmer who slept on a bed of cobras, brushed his teeth with a viper's tail and added 3 drops of snake-venom into his daily tequila) in 576 BC was a cool-ass dude?

Badri, there is really nothing wrong with a hobby. Even I love numbers myself and I get lot of my emotional kicks playing with data. But an indian guy sitting in office, messing around with Bill Gates' future based on his birthday and maternity ward bed number, socks size, waist size....seems straight out of a Vivek dialogue :(

Oh well, as I still say, each to his own!! Vivek too needs stuff for his dialogues, right! Think of all the humor we'd be missing out on, otherwise!

The information below was sent to me by a colleague! It certainly is weird, although I have not personally verified any of the facts given there.

Leave that to those who are interested!

The Pope died 02.04.2005 -> 2+4+2+5= 13

The time of his death is: 21:37 -> 2+1+3+7= 13

This is week 13 in year 2005

He was the Pope for 26 years and 5 months -> 2+6+5= 13

which is 9301 days -> 9+3+0+1= 13

13 May -> he was shot by would-be assassin

By years, the Pope was 85 -> 8+5=13

Karol Wojtya has been chosen for Pope when 58. Again it's 13

John Paul II was 265th Pope -the sum of these numbers is ...13

Collegian 1: Do you know why the Indian team is losing? It's because they wear blue uniforms. Blue is such a pleasant color it doesnt intimidate anyone. Generally Red is known to terrorise everyone. Numerology is a different one.I accept partially what all went on.But they have certain number lsit(If anybody has it, post it here) for each and every character

Like A=4 B=7 (Number doesn match character,Just an example)..

If your name is Kumaran

Then they will sum up the numeric value of each character.

say if K=2,U=4.M=1,A=4,R=2,A=4,N=9

Which comes 26---> 2+6 =8

According to his date of birth they will say whether 8 matches u're name..if not Kumaran becomes Kumaaran or Kumarann :D

This is one kind of numerology.In India they follow this Numerology

I learned that number 1 people can marry either 4 or 8 people. But some others are telling that no 3 is their ideal match. I want your opinion on this..

In my experience, I prefer no 4 and 8 people over other people because they have more bond with me than anyone else..

hope u all know the story narashima killed king iraniyan, father of prahlada

I observed in three places that there occured some bad incident when these names were kept for movies.

Narashimma - Director died in car accident before the release of the movie.

Iraniyan : Producer committed suicide before the release of the movie.

Narashimmudu (Telugu) : Producer attempted suicide before the release of the movie.

Is it fine to keep these names for kids?

While naming the children its better to give them names which will be soothing and catchy.. In my opinion, it is better to avoid names like Narashimma, Iraniyan etc. These names will portray arrogance and fear. Definitly the name of a person will indicate the kind of respect and attention he/she is going to receive. Also it will have indirect influence on how others will treat them at first.

For eg, a person by name "kuppusamy", "rudramoorthy" etc will be looked by people from different angle. So, better name the kids so that it will be appealing to everyone.

True! One is the loneliest number. To have one of something, anything, is a scary thing. If it gets taken away or somehow goes away, we have NONE! No backups with the 1. We are down to bare minimum.

Look at any Numerology text and the keywords for the One fly at you like sparks from a fire: Aggressive, courageous, independent, leader, the pioneer, the beginner. WOW !

Think on it for a moment. Wouldn't you put on a brave show too if you had ONE of something and believed for all the world that there weren't any more to replace it with if it disappeared? Ones think like that. They are originals and the mold is long gone.

Fire is the element here. The fire of creation blasts from them like a star going nova. Ones don't want a quiet, passive existence. It is true.. The fact is:

Based on the birth star each and every person will go through a cycle governed by every planet.. This we call as dashas..

For swathy, the starting dasha is Raagu dasha..
It will not be good. EVen we have a proverb

Nope.. It is false.. Kid is born based on its own KARMA in its previous birth.

and in astrology we can find whether a child has more than one mothers and etc.....

IN that case, it might lead to DOBs..

1. Suppose the Gregorian calender setup was wrong (or was not set up
this way) many years ago, how could the calender give this dates of births? In
that case would not the numerology predictions all go wrong?

2.What about people who never use the Gregorian calender for any purpose,
like the people of Saudi Arabia (they use the Hijra calender even for
immigration/visa purposes)? How right would be your numerology to them?
(Even if you map the dates with the Gregorian one they do not accept that
calender). Same case with Hindu calenders (Saka, Kollam, Tamil etc?).

3.Most of all, what if a set of people only uses octal, hexadecimal or binary
number system (what if human beings never came to the decimal system at all
in their evolution?)

Don't tell me that you will still map it to your stupid numerology. That would
be BS. Give me scientific arguments please.

Birth Number:

1. Sum up all the digits in the date component in your DOB to a single digit ( b/w 1 - 9). If it is 11 or 22, don't reduce it.

Life Number:

1. Reduce the date, month and year component respectively to a single digit number b/w 1 to 9 ( if any sum turns out as 11 or 22, keep it as such, for eg, for NOVEMBER, don't reduce it as 2)

2. Sum up all the three reduced components (MONTH SUM + DATE SUM + YEAR SUM).

That will give u the life number.

If any component turns out as 11 or 22, you must sum it up as it is

eg., let's say the DOB is 22 - 11 - 1994

1. 22
2. 11
3. 23 > 5

LIFE NO: - 22 + 11 + 5 > 33 + 5 > 38 > 11 :D

Another eg.

DOB : 18 - 8 - 2009

1. 18 > 8+1 > 9
2. 8 > 8
3. 2009 > 2+9 > 11

LIFE NO: 9 + 8 + 11 > 17+11 > 28 > 10 > 1 :D

To be honest, I am still a STUDENT IN THIS FIELD.. Numerology and Astrology.

I have not yet swallowed even a drop of this wonderful field. I am still learning with the GRACE of some of my GURUs.

As of now, I am going through several materials and other things. (on Numerology)

Unlike AStrology which has every answer to my question,

This field looks something new and I confuse this one with my Astrological thoughts.

So, I stay away from predicting something based on this.

So I am interested to answer some of your points of dubiousness.

(1) Numerology is no doubt, reliable...BUT ONLY UPTO SOME EXTENT .... and not in all respects, nor the degree of accuracy.... upto the minute degree of outcome... nor by Total reality ...

... because, we have to remember that there are several INFLUENTIAL NUMBERS on every event or development.... which we don't take into account, but base only on a few numbers at hand

Let us take a Vital example. If a person born on 9th day in the 9th month, September....year too totals to 9.... we say, his most powerful number is 9.

But when he writes an Exam... where his Number is, suppose .... 526478

...the outcome will be based on not only on every digit concerned alongside its sum...plus individual TWO DIGITS too.

Further his date of Exam also... has to be taken into account.

And also such other factors relevent to the event.

How far it is practicable... nor feasible?... Are we forecasting the predictions by such meticulous applications ...

....SIMILAR TO ASTROLOGY?.... If done, ...no doubt, it can be realistically correct.

The main confusion in Numerolgy occurs due its basis of Birthday..

... conforming to British Calendar-System... as the Date- commencement from 00-00 Hours....Midnight.

While the date will be different according to Indian Astrology...

...which reckons the DATE FROM SUNRISE UPTO THE SUBSEQUENT SUNRISE.

So to say... if a person is born at 05-30 am on the night of 08th date... prior to Sunrise on the 09th date...

His Birthday is concluded as 9th... as per Numerology...

...whereas it is...08th as per Indian Astrology and Numerolgy.

Consequently arises the Confusion... and Complications on the basis itself.

Numerology makes no difference between a person born at 01-00 am... and another person born at 01-00 pm.

On practical observation... I find that in such a case of birth in the early morning or post midnight... between 08th and 09th...

... the influence of 8 is more prominent than the Numerological basis as 9....

In brief...NUMEROLOGY can be AUXILIARY .... to Astrology or Palmistry.

But... NOT DEPENDABLE... ON ITS ENTIRETY.... ALONE....in general.
