On the first of November 1956 the "Tamil Nadu" was declared as a seperate State (based on the linguistic Majority - like the other States of India including AndhraPradesh, Karnataka, and Kerala). This day the "Tamil Nadu State" was formed is to be celebrated as the "Great Festival of Tamil Nadu" annually.
செம்மொழியான தமிழ் மொழியைக் காப்பது என்பது, தமிழ் பேசும் மக்களின் பெருமைக்குரிய பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான ஆண்டுகளின் வரலாற்றையும், பெருமிதத்திற்குரிய பாரம்பரியத்தையும், அந்த மொழி பேசும் மக்களின் தன்மானத்தையும் காப்பாற்றுவதாகும்.
தமிழ் மொழிக்கான அரசியல் அங்கீகாரத்தைப் பெற்று தருவதும், தமிழ் மொழி பேசும் மக்களின் அரசியல், கல்வி, பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சியும் மட்டுமே, தமிழ் மொழியின் வளர்ச்சியை உறுதி செய்யும். இதை உணர்ந்து தமிழ் மொழி வளர்ச்சிக்கான நடவடிக்கைகளை "பாட்டாளி மக்கள் கட்சி" மேற்கொள்ளும்.
