Tamil star scores first hit in Telugu
Released last Friday, Tamil superstar Vijay’s Jilla has been adjudged a superhit across the Telugu states. The film’s Telugu distribution rights were sold for a reasonable price and this resulted in the distributors entering the profit zone within the first week. With this success, Vijay finally scored his first hit in Telugu and the Ilayathapathy’s fans are mighty thrilled.
Earlier, Vijay’s Tamil blockbusters like Thuppakki and Snehithudu garnered decent collections in Telugu but failed to breakeven for their distributors. Jilla is an out and out mass entertainer, and commercial film lovers have lapped it up well. Already, there is a huge craze for Vijay’s upcoming socio-fantasy film, Puli, among the Telugu buyers.

While ’Ilayathalapathy’ Vijay is busy shooting for his 56th film directed by Atlee, talks about his 60th film have already started surfacing. Earlier it was rumored that S.J.Suryah will wield the megaphone for the 60th film of Vijay but there is no confirmation on that front.

Recently actress Kushboo in a chat session with her fans in social media has stated that her husband and veteran director Sundar.C may soon join hands with Vijay to give a film. Now this has lead to speculations that Vijay’s 60th film will be directed by Sundar.C.

Sundar.C. is known for comedy entertainers ,and Vijay is a star who possesses extraordinary comic sense. If these two come together we can be assured of a laugh riot.

Very good interview and great answers by TR. He clarified the theater blocking by Udhaynidhi also in a very professional manner. And his emotional outburst in the end was so heartfelt. Kudos to Vijay for reaching out and providing moral support...that too when it mattered the most. Proud to be a Vijay fan. If not for Sombu, am happy that he did it for TR.

When he was inquired about the shelved Yohan project with Vijay, this is what he had to say,
�It was planned as a James Bond-like spy film. The lead hero was a third generation NRI in the USA who joins the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The heroines were foreign girls. I wanted to place him in a topography that we had never seen him before in. That was the ultimate idea.
When he was further asked about his after-thoughts when Vijay turned down the project, this is what he stated,
�''I am ok with it! I understand Vijay does not know me much as a person or as a technician as we have not interacted much. I also understand that he hasn�'t watched many of my films and wouldn�'t have an idea about my treatment to a script like that!�''

A.R.Rahman to score music for 'Vijay 60' - Details here
It is now more or less confirmed that Vijay’s next movie after the Atlee film is ‘Kushi 2’ directed by S.J. Suriya in which the Illayathalapathy will be playing a romantic hero after back to back action films ‘Thupakki’, ‘Jilla’, ‘Kaththi’, ‘Thalaivaa’, ‘Puli’ and ‘Vijay 59’.
The latest news on this front is that ‘Kushi 2’ will be produced by Chandraprakash Jain who also produced ‘Thalaivaa’. Director S.J. Suriya is said to have met A.R. Rahman, who has reportedly given his nod. This will be the third time Vijay and Rahman are coming together after ‘Udaya’ and ‘Azhagiya Tamizh Magan’.

I dare say, Vijay should exercise caution here. No complacency.

His choice of movies have been top notch from 51-59. He should continue in the same vein.

The thought of Prabhu Deva directing Vijay again is causing shivers down the spine. No more brainless masala directors, please…

Vijay should also think of a full-fledged rural character with the likes of Vetrimaran or Sasikumar. That is one backdrop that is missing from his resume, a good rural-based movie.

Nothing wrong, mate. My only piece of advice is you should plan your attacks. If you come to a 'soon to be released' film's thread and post crap, it will explicitly show that you are desperate and you are suffering some burns in the lower part of the body, just above your waist.

You should take a leaf out of some other guys who post crap all round the year. So even if you come and post about the film, it will only be considered one among your regular craps and will at least not look as a desperate attempt.
