There were people who made films for passion/enthusiasm during 70s and 80s.
One such film was ‘maMgaLa sUtra’ (means ‘Holy Thread’ which indicates marital status of a girl), a b/w film released during 1975.
Story, Screenplay, Dialogue, Direction, Hero and Producer – All by Shri Rajesh kumar.
The film was about remarriage of a widow, but never happens in the movie. Though artists were new, except Shri MV Vasudeva Rao and Sundara Krishna Urs, legends like R Rathna (Music Director), P B Srinivas and P Susheela as playback singers, have contributed their good efforts to the film.
Film has only two songs, one solo by PBS and one duet song sung by PBS and PS. Film was an un-successful movie.
