Disapproving those returning their awards to protest against growing intolerance, superstar Kamal Haasan on Tuesday said giving back the awards is not a solution to the problem as there are other ways to draw attention.
A number of intellectuals including filmmakers, scientists, writers and historians have returned their awards to protest against the ‘climate of intolerance’ in the country. Filmmakers who have returned their awards include names like director Dibakar Banerjee, documentary filmmakers Anand Pathwardhan and Nishtha Jain among others.
“Nothing will happen by returning the awards. You will insult the government or the people who gave you the award with love. That will bring attention to it but there are many more ways,” said the 60-year-old actor.
“They are talented people. Just one article by them will bring more attention than returning the awards. They should keep the awards, make us proud and continue to fight any government that is not tolerant enough,” he added.
When asked whether Haasan, who is in the city to promote his upcoming film Thoongavanam, would ask the filmmakers to not give back the awards, the actor said he was not sure it will make any difference.
“My appeal won’t make a difference. We hope they don’t get too angry. It is on their part also necessary to be a little more tolerant. Tolerance is give and take. I am not criticising any party but this is nothing new to India. It will surmount this also, as it has done before,” he said.

Kamal Haasan to team up with Akkineni Nagarjuna's wife Amala for his next

Southern superstar Kamal Haasan is all set to team up with Akkineni Nagarjuna's wife Amala for his forthcoming film, directed by National Award-winner T K Rajeev Kumar.

Amala Akkineni will reportedly play the female lead opposite Kamal Haasan in the untitled film, which will be made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. The superstar himself revealed the news at the audio launch of his next outing "Cheekati Rajyam", in Hyderabad on 3 November.

Kamal Haasan had earlier worked with Amala in films like "Pesum Padam" (1987) and "Pushpaka Vimanam" (1987). This is the third time they pair up, and he is excited to work with her again. "This will be a very different film for me, and I am going to be seen in a completely new avatar. I am glad to be working with Amala again after 27 years," he told Hyderabad Times.

In another interview, Kamal Haasan also revealed that senior Bollywood actress Zarina Wahab would play an important role in the film. "I am doing a project under Rajeev's direction. It will also feature Amala Akkineni, Zarina Wahab and a new actress. The film will be shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu," he told 123Telugu when asked about his upcoming projects.

Kamal Haasan will be seen next in "Cheekati Rajyam", which is being simultaneously made as "Thoongavanam" in Tamil. The Tamil and Telugu versions are scheduled for release on 12 and 20 November, respectively. The actor is busy promoting the bilingual movie, which is an official remake of the French film "Sleepless Night" (Nuit Blanche).

Amala Akkineni was last seen playing an important role in Bollywood, in the Vidya Balan-starrer "Hamari Adhuri Kahani". She also featured in Zee Tamil's medical soap opera "Uyirmai", which went on air on 24 November 2014 and ended on 30 January 2015 with 112 episodes. She does not have any project other than Kamal Haasan's upcoming movie right now.

An emotional outburst at the height of a pressure at a personal level is different from undertaking a measure that is amounting to insult of a government / nation in a quest to pin down a particular political party...... not sure how many artists / scientists returned their award when the nation's fundamental rights was crushed officially at the time of emergency........

Thank you for everyone for coming here. I know its not a great convenience place but there is a reason why I have called you to this inconvenient place. I will come to that later.

I really don't know what's really happening. There are various reasons told to me as to why these things are happening. None of them makes sense to me. The fact is that I am yet to get interim relief as some of my friends have reported in press. The film shows started and stopped again. The police have come and sent out those people asking for the physical order from the court which we are yet to receive. We might or might not, I don't know about it. Its still sub judice. The honorable will tell us whether we get the interim order or not. But I believe that along with my muslim friends I have been instrument in a political game. I don't know who is playing it. I am not even hazarding the guess. The fact remains my history has proven that I have been neither leaning to left nor right but trying to maintain the position, my equipoise.

Now that apart, the judge in the previous interim relief has said that one man's money and his film the work of art is not more important than the unity of the nation. I agree with them. Its not important. Now I will come to my problem which I am willing to do for the nation. For sake of the film I hocked this house to my money lender who had shown great patience and now its nearly two months since he lost his patience and that things got postponed , he wanted some kind of visible safety for him and I have kept all my properties that I own in Chennai and surroundings to him. That in case, if he doesn't realize his money in a particular date, he will take over this place. This place is not going to be mine. I have lot of memories here. I thought I have one more good memory of inviting you gentlemen here having a press meet and probably lose it if the judgment is not favorable for me.

I truly wonder how just one movie could knock this mighty nation's unity aside. I thought our diversity and unity is what we all about. But besides the point, now I shall wait for the afternoon judgement. But after this I think I have to seek four secular state for me to stay in. I have lost what I have got when I have nothing to lose I might as well choose. And that choose would be a place where it would be a secular state from Kashmir to Kerala excluding Tamilnadu I will look for a place which would house an artist like me, I will pay for it. I know my art is still left and I can earn. If I can't find it within India which I will know in a couple of days whether I am able to find a secular state in India or not, I will find hopefully another country which is secular that might take me in. M.F.Hussain had to do it. Now Hassan would do it. And its fine I continue to work but nothing will change the fact, only my passports will change. When nothing will change the fact I am a Tamilian and Indian. I have the dubious distinction of being an illiterate in three languages which I speak. In Malayalam, I am quite fluent, Telugu Kannada and even in Hindi. So I will seek a living in India or abroad.

Why this sudden awakening amongst the film, writers fraternity about 'intolerance'? as if milk and honey were pouring forth since 1947?

This is a concerted attempt to scuttle a govt that was democratically elected by a whopping majority.

Why many of them remained mute spectators when VR was banned?

Kamal knows the pain inflicted on him by the 'intolerance' of a bunch of morons in TN and wait, didn't he have the balls to tell his fans to observe 'ahimsa' even while under severe stress?

No, I'm not arguing that he's opposing it either. He says clearly that if one decides to not consume beef due to medical science findings that its not good for health, then its ok but not by Govt.'s directive. No - 'tongue-in-cheek' remarks by a friend to another friend is vastly different than coming from a man revered by millions across the world and who is looked upon for guidance in so many matters..

We live in different times - a few months ago, a Nobel Laureate called 'pretty women a distraction in research labs' and he had his rear end royally fried; several years ago, another Nobel Laureate was fired from Cold Spring Harbor for commenting that Afro-americans were likely genetically inferior or something to that effect; another renowned astronomy professor's career is as good as over, when a recent 6 months long inquiry (by UC Berkeley) found him guilty on all charges of sexual harassment (serial harassment involving dozens of students/co-workers)..

Popularity brings with it a certain level of responsibility - doesn't matter who it is..

People in the public realm, especially if they are being listened to - cannot afford to make casual remarks slip out - this has nothing to do with the Guardian et al - this is just a reactionary response to centuries old misogyny - of course, it is a different matter that most of these media won't have the guts to point out the blatant misogyny/cruelty towards women in countries like Afghanistan, or many middle-eastern Islamic countries (stoning or decapitating a woman even for suspected adultery) or even in India, where a Muslim woman who was raped by her father-in-law and she was accused of adultery by a local Muslim panchayat (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imrana_rape_case)..

But that’s what it took for the movie buffs to witness the reunion of the iconic actor Kamal Haasan and T.K. Rajeev Kumar, a film-maker rated as one of the finest technicians in Mollywood.

Unsurprisingly, expectations are soaring high as the two join hands after the critically-acclaimed Chanakyan , their maiden joint venture released way back in 1989.

The film-maker’s revelation that it will be a family subject with a humorous take has only added to the excitement.

“The movie’s theme is socially relevant, too. It will be made in four languages–Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi,” Mr. Rajeev Kumar told The Hindu . “Screenplay is by Kamal Haasan. Noted actress Amala plays a crucial role in the movie. An actress from Bollywood may also be part of the main cast that includes noted actor Zarina Wahab,” said the director.

It’s not that the two didn’t have any brainstorming over a second film together since Chanakyan . They even planned a period film in between.

Then they discussed a few more subjects while Kamal was working in Papanasam , the Tamil remake of Drishyam .

Finally, they zeroed in on this theme.

“He had it in mind for long. It will be a performance-oriented movie,” Mr. Rajeevkumar said.

The shoot will begin in January. Shot entirely in the U.S., the film is expected to have a 50-day schedule.

The main locations will be New York and Georgia. It will be made under the banner of Raaj Kamal Films International.

The lead technicians would be from the U.S., said Mr. Rajeevkumar.

The star cast had already created the buzz in tinsel town. Kamal and Amala are pairing up after their popular hit Sathya directed by Suresh Krissna in 1988.

Its an abhorable pattern established by early crossborder terrorists like Illech Ramirez Sanchez alias Jackal. No amount of policing will deter these excess'.

At the peril of sounding naive and cliched I take this opportunity to evoke the Ahinsa spirit practiced and propounded by Gandhi ji. Especially to the European foreign policy makers I beseech, any populist martial reaction will only further the cause of those who have lost the sense of the world as a comunity. The west must take responsible steps from now on with great introspection as the world is watching. Now is the time for straight talk and honest action. Definitely not the time for dubioud double speakers. The world is ours and we must sieze it from the archaic and bloody hands of politicians who still seek solutions through war. I dont endorse his views entirely either.. in fact, Freedom at Midnight - on which Hey Ram was based - contains a narration in which a Punjabi refugee family approaches Gandhi (with Godse hovering in the background with severe migraine, undecided about his plan of action) - and vent their pain at having lost a daughter to gang rape to a Muslim mob - and Gandhi asks them to bear the pain, until such mobs undergo a change of heart!! The refugee family curses him and leave the place - Godse witnesses this and decides to do what he did eventually...

There is a reasonable risk that ppl might forget the context - and fail to connect - and that might impact the film's run - back to the same old 'onnumey puriyala' effect..

People's memory is short - maybe release the film with a short 10 min prelude including key scenes from VR1

Latest buzz in Kollywood is that the 'Thoongavanam' star will be acting in the sequel to 'Seevalaperipandi' the blockbuster film of the year 1994.

'Seevalperipandi' was based on the life of a person named Pandi who lived in the Seevalaperi village of Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu long before. The film was directed by Prathap Pothen with Napoleon playing the titular role. This was Napoleon's first film as the hero and also a pivotal film in the actor's long career.

Agree...I would watch the movie countless number of times for the Manoranjan part alone. I thought Kamal overdid it with the episode in the car as it never really created an impact it should have partly owing to the fact that it was badly staged and acted. But even in that, it spoke about the intimate relationship that an actor shares with his chauffeur (which is how it is normally for any actor).

Agreed. Collaborating with someone in the screenplay dept. to avoid some of this would be great. Also, Manoranjan could have been shown to be more flawed, which is really the case with most Actors. To me, he was not flawed at all, other than his supposed spending less time with his family. He is shown as another Uttaman. Unless you create a stark contrast, you don't get the needed bite from the screenplay.

UV, the film can be divided into 3 parts.

The Main film, Manoranjan portion.
8th Century till Kaathalaam Kadavul mun portion.
The portion from where they plan a Naadagam and till climax.

In this, the 1st part is the most liked portion of the film, followed by 3rd part. 2 one is mega sothappal. It didnt create impact for most. But i somehow feel, there are something missing in 3rd part too. There is a dialog in papanasam "ஹீரோ முகத்த அடிக்கடி க்ளோசப்ல காட்டுனா தானே, அந்த chasing பரபரப்பு, ஆடியன்ஸுக்கும் தொத்தும்?!” similarly, when Uttaman & KarpagaValli & the minister Trio plans to kill Naaser and when the roles gets interchanged, the audience must feel எப்படி கொல்லுவாங்க but it happens very fast and the audiecene are left with no choice of watching the manoranjan portion there, reading letter and the very climax where he is taken to hospital.

Also, Naaser asking for சாகாவரம், he is not seen getting scared of the Astrologer's prediction of his கோர மரணம். So audience dont feel much for him and thus his longing for சாகாவரம் is not recieved by audience with much interest. Also, there is not a sudden strong motive for him to ask that when he is a bed after a stomach upset. Not only that, all the time, Uttaman had been cheating that he has a மந்திரம் for சாகாவரம், but he mentions only 3 ways, not மந்திரம். How will that satisfy Naaser?!

My feel is, if the 8th century has more scenes with multiple attempts of the Trio trying to finish off naser and it fails and finally they plan extensively and finish him in the final song, it wud hav been welcomed much. And there cud be lot of scope for comedy of errors in that process. Thus, there will be something trongly given for the audiecne to expect on what to look for, in the 8th century.

Uttaman's role itself looks confused after watching the movie. If he is the king then what about those theyyam portions and the scenes where ppl thinks he died multiple times and he comes back? But there is a small clue for this. the small scene where the lady spy with naser comes and tells to naser that there is someone called Uttaman who escaped death 5 times(a la prahaladhan) and naser orders to bring him to his court. So all those uttaman a theyyam artist and he escaped death 5 times are imaginary stories which audience along with naser, mistakes as true story!

Pooja thinking uttaman is getting close to naser and planning to make use of him is a good idea! also, her finding out that uttaman is NOT a பயந்தாங்கொள்ளி, and revealing the same in that குகை scenes is superb one which worked great for me! the whole cave scene is superb but our ppl didnt seem to like it :( same time, the fact that uttaman is not the theyyam artist but king of neighbouring country, i feel it shud hav been esatblished openly to audience and be hidden only to naser camp... just showing a 'king pose' in the last end of the film for very short time (just few secs) is not at all enuf, one feels.

the 5 times death cheating obviously is not imaginery na - theyyam arujunan nadagam where the snake charmer is also brought to the court - then vaiyapuri vouches for - ivan adichan - ivan sethan point...and u can see rajesh m selva there who is the ottran from the pandiyan kingdom who also later saves kamal from the drowning with his fishing net...which connects the before meeting nasser to after meeting nasser to be consistent - which means they were true . the song also explains why he didnt die in for each scenario right - as to the cobra biting 4 ppl before him and thus hving no poison left in its gland etc and the song clearly says - the reason why he survived will be known to 'pagutharivalar'

- A story happening in Pub, not a place of much happenings, or larger audience not interested in happenings of a place like pub.
- As its only a 1 night stand, there are a bit of less emotions.
- No Songs or other regular entertainment factors.
- In the course of staying honest to original, there were less of explicit 'mass' scenes
- Rain, of course.
- Above all, even if one verymuch liked the film, i feel somehow, this is not a great subject for a ulaganaayagan like Kamal ji to take up. Its not adding much to any of his large glory.

If we take other movies like Kadamai Kanniyam Kattuppaadu or Pushpak or Kuruthippunal, they too were songless, but they were regular, long plots. story not ending in one day/night. So much time to establish characters and build emotions and expectations.

Above said are purely my opinion. may have mistakes. need not be perfect. That said, TV will remain as one of most fav movies among a set of audience, to watch and re-watch, in DVD, Telecasts etc in future! Iam one among!

Movie going audience also cannot be blamed much. Bcos, if we see this year, Uttama Villain had the best and biggest Opening among all 3 Films released this year. The reason was, it was a film shot for almost a year. and the stills created an impression that UV will be having big, grand, historical scenes etc. The Still, songs, trailers created decent expectation and a good opening for UV such a Class Film! If low lives like Kalai eli dhanu hadn't delayed it, UV wud hav made much more money it deserved.

So, UV Opening is proof that whenever Kamal sir gives a fresh new interesting subject, not remakes, audience will surely give support! So surely, upcoming 5 films will satisfy audience in many many ways! Without an iota of doubt, the future looks interesting!! :D :thumbsup:

3) எல்லாமே கனக்கச்சிதம்.. கமலுக்கு உடைகள் கூட.. ஆனால் இந்த ஸ்டைலிஷ் நடை, பார்வை, உடல்மொழி கமலைப் பார்த்து வெகுநாட்களாகிவிட்டது.
4) தொழில்நுட்ப பாய்ச்சல்.. முக்கியமாக சண்டைக்காட்சிகளில் பல அடிகள் முன்னேறி இருக்கு.. தமிழ் சினிமாவில் அதையும் முதன்முதலாக நிகழ்த்திக் காட்டியவர். ஷங்கர் படத்தை பதிலுக்கு விதண்டாவாதமாக வைத்து பேசலாம். ஆனால் இந்த அளவுக்கு சிறியதொரு இடத்தில் இவ்வளவு கனகச்சிதமாக, மெய்சிலிர்க்கும் விதத்தில் படைப்பது கமலால் மட்டுமே..
5) இதுபோன்ற இன்னொருவரின் கதைக்களத்தில் இரண்டாண்டுகளுக்கு ஒருமுறையேனும் கமல் நடிக்கலாம். தவறே இல்லை. அப்போதுகூட, வணிக அம்சம்ங்கள் இல்லாத படங்களை தேர்வு செய்து அதை இந்த அளவுக்கு வெற்றிப்படமாக்கியிருக்கிறார் என்பது புலப்படும்.

I watched singaravelan with fully packed crowd in avadi ramarathna theatre. The movie was released after almost two three months from original release as it was the custom those days for B or C center theaters to wait for around 50 days. All the songs are good particularly two versions of puthucheri kacheri, pottu vaitha kathal thittum..

agreed..most of his recent takes on comedy seem to be in the same vain . comedy jelling with the character has always been his usps ..like balram naidu from dasavatharam or even nalla's one liners from AS. offlate the comedy has become more of a word play in almost all the movies and pretty much predictable - if we just take the comedy scenes alone from manmadhan ambu till now (barring papanasam) the comedy sections can all be collated together and it might give a sense of no character variation ( like for example the kathi kettena from TV will be the same modulation and mannerism/innocent behavior (for lack of better word) like when mannar say 'ohh shit' in manmadhan ambu to sangeetha when she shows a new taxi driver photo as lover for ambu .

would love to see intense characterizations - like povaragavan , vish , nalla and ofcourse mother of all Guna... etc in his upcoming movies

திரை உலகின் பல்வேறு சாதனைகளுக்கு சொந்தக்காரரான கமல் இனி தனது படங்கள் விரைவாக வெளியாகும் என்று கூறி இருந்தார். அதற்கு ஏற்ப இந்த வருடம் மட்டும் கமலின் 4 படங்கள் திரைக்கு வந்து இருக்கின்றன.

இதில் முதலில் வந்த கமலின் திரைப்படம் ‘உத்தமவில்லன்’. இதில் அவர் முழுக்க முழுக்க நடிகராகவே நடித்த இருந்தார். விதம் விதமான தோற்றங்களில் வந்து தனது தனித்தன்மையை அடையாளப்படுத்தினார்.

அடுத்து வெளியான படம் ‘பாபநாசம்’. இது குடும்ப படமாக அமைந்தது. பொறுப்பு மிகுந்த அப்பாவாக நடித்தார். இது மலையாளப் படத்தின் மறு உருவாக்கம் என்றாலும், அந்த அடையாளமே தெரியாத விதத்தில் இந்த படத்தில் நடித்தார். இது அமோக வரவேற்பை பெற்று வெற்றிப்படமாக அமைந்தது.

அடுத்து திரைக்கு வந்த கமல் படம் ‘தூங்காவனம்’. திரிஷா, பிரகாஷ்ராஜ் இணைந்து நடித்த இது அதிரடி ஆக்ஷன் படமாக அமைந்தது. இதே படம் தெலுங்கில் ‘சீகட்டி ராஜ்யம்’ என்ற பெயரில் நேரடியாக தயாரிக்கப்பட்டது. இந்த படம் ‘தூங்காவனம்’ திரைக்கு வந்த சில தினங்களில் ஆந்திரா, தெலுங்கானா வில் ரிலீஸ் ஆனது.

இதையும் சேர்த்து இந்த ஆண்டு மட்டும் கமல் நடித்த 4 படங்கள் திரைக்கு வந்து இருக்கின்றன. இது மட்டுமல்ல, அடுத்த படத்தையும் கமல் அறிவித்து விட்டார். கமலுடன் அமலா மீண்டும் நடிக்கும் இந்த படம் தமிழ், தெலுங்கில் தயாராகிறது.

இதை பிரபல மலையாள இயக்குனரும் தேசிய விருது பெற்றவருமான டி.கே. ராஜீவ்குமார் இயக்குகிறார். 1989–ல் கமல் நடித்து வெற்றி பெற்ற ‘சாணக்யன்’ படத்தை இயக்கிய இவர் 26 வருடங்களுக்குப் பிறகு மீண்டும் கமலுடன் இணைகிறார்.

கமல் நடிக்கும் இந்த புதிய படத்துக்கு தெலுங்கில்‘அம்மா நானா ஆட்டா’ என்று பெயரிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.தமிழில் ‘அம்மா அப்பா விளையாட்டு, என்று பெயர் வைக்கப்படுகிறது. குடும்பப்படமாக உருவாகும் ‘அம்மா, அப்பா விளையாட்டு’ நகைச்சுவை கலந்த படமாக இருக்கும் என்று கூறப்படுகிறது.

இந்த படத்துக்காக கமல் 50 நாட்கள் ‘கால்ஷீட்’ கொடுத்து இருக்கிறார். இதன் முக்கிய காட்சிகளுக்கான படப்பிடிப்பு அமெரிக்காவில் நடைபெறும் என்று கூறப்படுகிறது

Speaking exclusively from his residence in Chennai, Kamal Haasan in an interview with Firstpost said, “To describe the situation as calamitous would be an understatement. If this can happen in Chennai can you imagine the plight of the rest of Tamil Nadu?”

“It’s a nightmare for the poor and the middle class. The rich should feel guilty. I am not so rich and yet I feel guilty when I look outside my window and see how people in my city are suffering,” the actor adds.

He also lashed out at the powers-that-be for neglecting their civic duties. “The entire system has collapsed. It will take Chennai months to get back to normal even when the rains stop. Where is all of the taxpayer’s money going? I don't take black money. I pay my taxes. What is being done for me and my people with my hard-earned money?”

Questioning the basic tenet of civil existence, the actor asks, “I have no God. And I definitely won’t accept the authority and decisions of the self-appointed Gods— the politicians. The ruling party ,whoever they are, don’t mind spending Rs 4000 crore for corporate projects. We are around 120 crore people in the country. Why not distribute all the Rs 4000 crore among us? That would make all Indians tri-crorepatis.”

The actor who is known to stand up for causes is extremely disillusioned by the collapse of the state administration in Tamil Nadu.

He ended the conversation by saying, “I am truly sad and sick. I feel guilty for my being in a comfortable home. I earn very little compared to the government. But now when our state is in distress they are asking for donations to do what we appointed the government to do. Of course I will pay because I am constrained to respect the government’s authority. The reason I pay is not to be perceived as one the rich who suck on people, because I am not. I love my people truly. All this drama of rich and poor is a farce, though. The politicians give a damn about social equality as long as they remain in power.”

நான் கட்டிய வரிப்பணம் என்னவாயிற்று என்று நான் கேள்வி எழுப்பியது போல் சில ஊடகங்களில் சற்று நாட்களுக்கு முன் வந்த செய்தி நான் அந்த ஊடகங்களுக்கு அளித்த பிரத்யேக பேட்டி அல்ல. மின் அஞ்சல் வழி என் வடநாட்டு பத்திரிகையாள நண்பருக்கு எழுதிய ஆங்கிலக்கடிதம். அந்தக் கடிதத்தின் தோராயமான தமிழாக்கமே சில ஊடகங்களில் வெளியானது.

என் கடிதம் தமிழகத்திற்கு நேர்ந்த பேரிடர் பற்றியும் மக்களின் அவதியை பற்றிய புலம்பலே. கடிதத்தில் எங்கும் தமிழக அரசு என்ற குறிப்போ, என் வரிப்பணம் என்னவாயிற்று? என்ற கேள்வியோ இல்லை. அவ்வளவு சந்தேகம் இருந்திருந்தால் இவ்வளவு வருடம் தொடர்ந்து முழு வருமானத்தையும் சொல்லி அத்தனை வரி கட்டியிருக்கவே மாட்டேன். எந்த நிலைமையிலும் என் கடமையைச் செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று நினைப்பவன் நான்.

என் வீட்டிற்க்கு சில நாட்களாகச் செய்தித்தாள் விநியோகம் இல்லை. விட்டு விட்டு வரும் தொலைபேசித் தொடர்பும், எப்போதோ வரும் வலையதள தொடர்பினாலும் என்னைப் பற்றி ஊடகங்களில் வரும் வாதப்பிரதிவாதங்கள் நண்பர்கள் சொல்லியே தெரிந்துகொண்டேன். எனது சில நண்பர்களைப் போல் எப்போதுமே ஒரு கண்ணை முகநூலில் வைத்திருக்கும் முகநூல்வாசியல்ல நான்.

பதில் ஏதும் பேசாமல் இருந்தால் உண்மை தன்னால் வெளிப்படும் என் உண்மை நிலை புரியும் என்று நான் எண்ணியது தவறு என உணர்கிறேன். என் நற்பணி இயக்கத்தாருடன் தொலைபேசி தொடர்பு கிடைக்கும்போதெல்லாம் பேசிவருவதினாலும், அவர்களை எந்த ஆர்ப்பாட்டமுமின்றி மக்களுக்கு உதவும் அன்புக் கட்டளைகள் பிறப்பித்துக் கொண்டிருந்ததாலும் அவையே முக்கியம் இந்த வாதங்களை பிறகு வைத்துக் கொள்ளலாம் என்று விட்டு விட்டேன். அது தவறு, அத்தவறு இப்போது விஸ்வரூபம் எடுத்திருக்கிறது.

இது திரு. ஓ. பன்னீர் செல்வம் அவர்களின் அறிக்கைக்கு பதில் அறிக்கை அல்ல. களத்தில் இறங்கி வேலை செய்து கொண்டிருக்கும், பல வேறு கட்சிகளுக்கும் ஓட்டு போடும் தன்னுரிமை உள்ள எங்கள் இயக்கத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள் பலரும் குழப்பத்தில் நற்பணி செயல்களில் தடுமாற்றம் கண்டுவிடக் கூடாது என்பதற்கே இவ்விளக்கம்.

பக்தரும் பகுத்தறிவாளரும் பல மதத்தாரும் உண்டு எங்கள் இயக்கத்தில். இந்த நேரம் கட்சிகளுக்கு அப்பாற்பட வேண்டிய நேரம் மதங்கள் தனிமனிதக் கோபங்களையும் தவிர்த்து செயல்பட வேண்டிய பேரிடர் காலம். களமிறங்கி வேலை செய்யும் யார் மனதையும் நான் சொன்னதாகச் சொல்லப்பட்ட வார்த்தைகள் புண்படுத்தியிருந்தால் கூட மன்னிப்புக் கேட்கக் கடமைப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன்.
