K.V. Anand to join hands with Ajith?

It seems Vijay and Ajith are planning their movies well before and the latest buzz is, K.V. Anand has narrated a script to Ajith and the ‘Yennai Arindhaal’ actor has given his nod to develop the script. Ajith has agreed to act once again under the direction of ‘Siruthai’ Siva, upon completing the current project.

The ‘Ayan’ director had always expressed his wish to direct Ajith, Vijay, and Superstar in many interviews. Apparently, ‘Anegan’ was supposed to Vijay’s movie and eventually went to Dhanush. A believable birdie has confirmed that this speculated project will be bankrolled by AGS Entertainments. However, nothing has been made official yet and we have to wait for for more week to see whether the above news is becoming a reality or not.

Thala Ajith Becomes A Complete Man!

It is very difficult to find a person who speaks negative things about 'Thala' Ajith Kumar. Not only Kollywood or the entire film fraternity, even a common man found randomly on a street will have only good things to tell about the actor.

While his helping nature is known to all, few know that he can cook with utmost perfection. Director Venkat Prabhu has even said that the inspiration for his film Biriyani in fact came after tasting Ajith's mouth watering Biriyani which he prepares often at the shooting spot and serves each and every member belonging to the crew.

Ajith's passion for bikes, cars, aeromodelling and photography is apparent. But what makes him the complete man is his attention towards his family and friends.
Ajith was recently spotted at his daughter's school function.

Even though the actor is in the most wanted list by many directors, he has somehow managed to procure time to spend some quality time with her daughter at her school amidst his busy schedule. Ajith was also seen taking photographs of other kids along with his daughter to make sure he doesn't miss out on an opportunity to capture some important moments which will serve as memories to cherish down the lane.
Meanwhile, his project with Gautham Menon which is titled as Yennai Arindhaal is almost nearing its completion and the movie is expected to hit the screens for Pongal next year.

Ajith's 'Thala 56' to Lock Horns with 'Vijay 58' for Diwali 2015?

Vijay's film with director Chimbudevan, referred to as "Vijay 58," went on floors a few days ago in Chennai. The film's shooting commenced with a song shoot, featuring Vijay and Hansika, at a set erected on the outskirts of Chennai.

Veteran actress Sridevi will be joining the team later this week and the first schedule of the film is expected to go on for 45 days.There have been several rumours doing the rounds regarding "Vijay 58" ever since the film was announced. Latest buzz on social media sites is that the film might hit the screens for Diwali 2015.

"Thala 56," to be directed by Siruthai Siva, is all set to go on floors soon. The film will feature comedian Santhanam alongside Ajith, while details about the other cast and crew members are still awaited. While "Veeram" was set in a rural area, "Thala 56" will have an urban backdrop, according to reports.

Speculations are rife that "Thala 56" will also be a Diwali 2015 treat for Ajith fans. If it turns out to be true, then the Vijay starrer might clash with Ajith's film

Diwali has been lucky for both Vijay and Ajith as some of their films released during that period have turned out to be hits.

Ajith's "Arrambam," which hit theatres during the festival period last year, fared well at the box office. Similarly, Vijay's Diwali 2014 release, "Kaththi", has emerged as one of the biggest hits in the history of Tamil cinema.

It will be a real treat for the fans if both "Vijay 58" and "Thala 56" clash at the box office. In the past, Vijay and Ajith's films have clashed on numerous occasions.

The last time, their films locked horns was in January 2014 when "Jilla" and "Veeram" released on the same day. However, it needs to be seen whether the makers of "Vijay 58" and "Thala 56" will take the risk of releasing the films on the same day as both might end up eating into each other's business.

An official announcement regarding the films' release dates are still awaited.

Even as Ajith is yet to wrap up the shooting of his current project, "Yennai Arindhaal," buzz surrounding his next project with Siruthai Siva has gained momentum in media circles.

There are huge expectations for "Thala 56" (Ajith's 56th film), to be helmed by Siva, as the director-actor duo has teamed up for the second time, post the release of the mass action entertainer, "Veeram." Speculations regarding the film are making headlines on social media sites almost every day.

Latest buzz is about the film's budget.Dinamalar (http://cinema.dinamalar.com/tamil-news/23787/cinema/Kollywood/Ajith-56-movie-in-Rs.80-crore-budget.htm), a Tamil daily, has stated that the film, produced by AM Ratnam, will be made with a budget of ₹80 crore. However, there is no official confirmation in this regard.

There are also reports doing the rounds regarding the film's cast and crew. Unlike "Veeram", which had a rural set-up, "Thala 56" will be set in an urban backdrop, wherein Ajith will reportedly be romancing two heroines.

Meanwhile, rumours over Ajith's 57th film have started doing the rounds. Social media circles were abuzz with reports that Ajith will be teaming up with director AR Murugadoss for his 57th film. PRO Riaz Ahmed tweeted that Murugadoss will begin work on Ajith's film after completing his Hindi film with Sonakshi Sinha.

"#‎ARMurugadoss Will finish the Hindi with @sonakshisinha & start working on ‪#‎thàla project," Riaz posted (https://twitter.com/RIAZtheboss).

But, later the PRO clarified that it was just a rumour and there was nothing official about it. "My earlier tweet abt Mr.Ajith and @ARMurugadoss sir was rumour sorry," he said.

Murugadoss had earlier expressed keen interest in working with Ajith for the second time after the successful "Dheena." Fans are also eagerly looking forward to this joint venture. But, it seems they need to wait a little longer to see the actor-director duo join hands once again.

that's not the problem. guess you understood differently what I am trying to say. for we thala ajith fans it is good and enjoyable....but there should not be any publicity by the film unit that they are canning some shots of ajith films as some of the ajith fans celebrating in the film etc etc...this should come as a surprise to us when we watch the movie....it should spread...guess you understand what I am trying to say....

When director Vijay Milton, who is currently shooting 10 Endradhukulla, starring Vikram and Samantha, wanted expert advice on shooting a car-racing scene, he met Formula One racer Narain Karthikeyan for his suggestions.

Vijay explains, "We have to shoot a racing scene with Vikram where the car has to drift and slide through the track. We needed some expert advice. Our stunt choreographer, Lee Whitaker, who has earlier worked with Ajith in Arrambam, called Ajith for his suggestion on the scene. Ajith referred Narain's name saying, 'He is my friend. He can help you better than I can'. When we contacted Narain with Ajith's reference, he immediately agreed to meet us. As we were in Coimbatore for the shoot, Narain joined our discussion and gave us a lot of valuable insights. We are planning to shoot the scene with Vikram based on Narain's suggestions."

The director posted a picture of them online, which led to rumours that Narain is also acting in the film. However, Vijay clarifies, "No, he is not acting in our film, we met him to discuss an action sequence that involves car racin

It is a known fact that Thala Ajith had changed his diet while he was still shooting for Gautham Menon's Yennai Arindhaal. Ajith who is a brilliant cook, has completely given up on non-vegetarian food according to a Tamil daily. All he eats for breakfast, lunch and supper are just some green food along with fruits. He has also apparently lost 3 kilograms in no time and is focused on burning substantial amount of calories in the next few days.

After Yennai Arindhaal, which is almost completed, Ajith will be joining hands yet again with director Siva of Veeram fame. Since Ajith was showcased as a stout looking toughie in Veeram, it could be possible that he's been asked to shed some weight to look rather slim in his upcoming movie. It is to be noted that Ajith had earlier shed amazing amount of weight for P Vasu's Paramasivan and Perarasu's Thirupathi but neither of the two went on to become a massive hit. Though he might not look extremely thin in his next, with the way he is managing his diet at the moment, he might definitely look a lot thinner and fit for his 56th movie which is referred as Thala 56. Also the budget of Thala 56 is said to be around 80 crore rupees making it one of the costliest movie ever produced for an Ajith flick. The film is likely to go on floors from January 2014 and is said to be an urban action entertainer in contrast to his previous film with Siva which had a village as its backdrop.

Kollywood is on all time high with Superstar Rajinikanth’s Lingaa entering the 100 crore club in the least time possible. As Rajini continues to create history with his box office pull, cinemalead.com brings you the list of Tamil films that have entered the prestigious 100 crore club in the recent past.

The credit of breaking first into the l00 crore club goes to Superstar Rajinikanth and it was his Sivaji that entered the 100 crore club in 2007. The movie produced by AVM was directed by Shankar and AR Rahman scored the music. Shriya Saran was the leading lady of the movie and the movie was about how Rajini fight backs a system which is corrupted beyond repair and wins over it. As per the data, the movie grossed 128 crores.

Soon after Sivaji, Kamal Haasan entered the 100 crore club with his Dasavathaaram produced by Aascar Films in the year 2008. Directed by KS Ravikumar, the movie had Asin as the heroine. The film’s music was composed by Himesh Reshmayya and BGM by Devi Sri Prasad.

The year 2009 did not have any 100 crore club movies in Tamil. But in 2010, Superstar Rajinikanth continued his success run with Enthiran directed by Shankar. Produced by Sun Pictures, the movie had the music by AR Rahman and Aishwarya Rai paired with the Superstar.

Among the young breed of actors, Ajith stormed in to the 100 crore club with his Mankatha directed by Venkat Prabhu. Produced by Dayanidhi Alagiri’s Cloud Nine movies, the film had an ensemble cast including Arjun, Trisha and Lakshmi Rai. Yuvan Shankar Raja scored the music of the movie. In 2012, Ilayathalapthy Vijay and AR Murugadoss came up with Thuppakki and the movie quickly got into the 100 crore club. The film had Kajal Agarwal as the heroine and Harris Jayaraj scored the music. Kalaipuli Thanu produced the blockbuster movie.



The year 2013 saw two films getting into the 100 crore club. While Vishwaroopam by Kamal Haasan faced several hurdles for its release, the movie went into the 100 crore club in a very short span. Produced by Raaj Kamal films, the movie had Pooja Kumar as the heroine. Shankar-Eeshan-Loy composed the music for the movie.

In the same year, Ajith’s Arrambam, produced AM Rathnam under Sri Sathya Sai movies joined the 100 crore club. Vishnuvardhan directed the movie which had Nayanthara as the heroine. The film’s music was by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the cast included Arya, Taapsee and Rana Daggubati.:bow:

The year 2014 is no different. With Ajith’s Veeram directed by Siva and produced by Vijaya Productions declared as grossing 135 crores,:bow: the Vijay starrer Kaththi directed by AR Murugadoss has also claimed to have grossed more than 100 crores. I disagree on that. A "Myskin" movie with Thala will be a great one. Think of Thala in a negative role in a Myskin film. It will rock like anything. I know commercial success is a different thing but a thriller like Yudham Sei will rock.

Among the young breed of actors, Ajith stormed in to the 100 crore club with his Mankatha directed by Venkat Prabhu. Produced by Dayanidhi Alagiri’s Cloud Nine movies, the film had an ensemble cast including Arjun, Trisha and Lakshmi Rai. Yuvan Shankar Raja scored the music of the movie. Mankatha released in 2011.:bow:



In 2012, Ilayathalapthy Vijay and AR Murugadoss came up with Thuppakki and the movie quickly got into the 100 crore club. The film had Kajal Agarwal as the heroine and Harris Jayaraj scored the music. Kalaipuli Thanu produced the blockbuster movie.



The year 2013 saw two films getting into the 100 crore club. While Vishwaroopam by Kamal Haasan faced several hurdles for its release, the movie went into the 100 crore club in a very short span. Produced by Raaj Kamal films, the movie had Pooja Kumar as the heroine. Shankar-Eeshan-Loy composed the music for the movie.

In the same year, Ajith’s Arrambam, produced AM Rathnam under Sri Sathya Sai movies joined the 100 crore club. Vishnuvardhan directed the movie which had Nayanthara as the heroine. The film’s music was by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the cast included Arya, Taapsee and Rana Daggubati.:bow:

The year 2014 is no different. With Ajith’s Veeram directed by Siva and produced by Vijaya Productions declared as grossing 135 crores,:bow: the Vijay starrer Kaththi directed by AR Murugadoss has also claimed to have grossed more than 100 crores. With Superstar Rajinikanth’s Lingaa crossing 100 crores in just three days, Tamil cinema can be proud of its achievements.

Thala 56 to roll from February

If sources are to be believed, Ajith’s next with director ‘Siruthai‘ Siva will soon start rolling from February after Yennai Arindhaal release. The big buzz doing rounds in the tinsel town is that director Siva is ready with the script and the team is waiting for Ajith to join the sets as soon as possible. Last year earlier it was Veeram’s success from the duo that prompted them to work again for the second time.

With the pre-production almost done, the team is raring to begin the shooting. Yennai Arindhaal was actually slated for release on Pongal, but it was postponed due to some delay from the post-production side. Not wanting to postpone Siva’s project any further, Thala Ajith has consented to join the unit as soon as Yennai Arindhaal is out of the way, add sources. Samantha and Anirudh are being speculated to be part of this untitled flick. The official entire cast and crew is expected to be announced soon in the coming days or weeks. all the media were writing against rajni now because of hardcore rajni fans who were reluctant to accept lingaa review by the media like vikatan,dinamalar and started abusing the author with bad words,dragging them in social sites like twitter/FB for fight,etc..this should have irked them to write not in favor of rajni..

Ajith might not have given a super hit BB movie in Amarkalam.....but it did well and he was very well noticed for his refreshing....there was a fresh face in TFI....and distributors were very enthusiastic then about the prospects of this charming refreshing boy....and then the rest is history....

and the media didn't thookify Ajith in the initial days...he had challenges a lot to face from media than the people of TN accepting him....

when each and every media was writing him off for one or the other.....he was proving it on his own terms.....

and the recent decision of his breaking the fan clubs made the media tongue wagger and again to write him off and questioning and even some major distributors were shell shocked and wonder if Ajith could get the opening....but the rest is history....

no other actor of his generation or this generation can do what Ajith did....

since you pulled in Ajith...I am obliged to post about Ajith not only as a fan but as a well-wisher too....

Tollywood’s powerful director Puri Jagannath expressed his desire to direct Tamil actor Ajith. A popular national daily has come up with a news that Puri Jagannath is going to direct Tamil Superstar Ajith Kumar in 2016. When contacted, Puri has denied the news and said that it's a pure speculation.
Puri has already announced that he will be doing ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ with Charmee followed by an untitled film with Varun Tej.
After these two films, Puri Jagannath will be directing Superstar Mahesh Babu and this film might begin in the first half of 2016.

“I want to write a film for Ajith…”

The story would apparently revolve around the importance of farming. “After school, most choose engineering, medicine and other mainstream courses. This film would encourage them to take up farming.”

“Vingyaanathukku sellum ilaignargale, vivasaayaththukkum vaarungal... ”

He declares with a flourish.

The idea was duly shared with Ajith during the shoot of Yennai Arindhaal. The actor had told him, “Vivekji, Yennai Arindhaal-ku apram busy aayiduveenga… Epdi padam pannuveenga?”

Vivek narrates this in stilted tones. It was Ajith speaking, you see.

Well...thala in MGR costumes was targeted at the different section of audience who still admire MGR even today...you lose some to win some....I was kind of okay with Thala's getup in Veeram....but I liked the rugged look the most...it was very casual...

true...S.Siva could have avoided it but don't know what made him to go for that type of look when now each and every year..there is a change in style quotient being displayed in general...

Every director aspires to direct a movie with Ajith in the lead, who aspires to become a director wants to direct Ajith in the lead, who has already directed Ajith wants to rejoin with Ajith, though the directors are dominated by the Y-species...the X-species is not far behind...who had already directed Ajith in the past and other new aspirants also wanting to direct Ajith in the lead...

it clearly shows the comfortableness nature of Ajith...though I wouldn't like to bring back old wounds..but got to mention it here...that director who missed the chance of directing Ajith really felt of behaving like that in one of the interviews...

Seems though GVP has bagged Thala56 venture with S.Siva....is it a good choice...Akkam Pakkam from Kireedom by GVP was good..and the other song too...these two songs were good...don't remember the BGM need to watch Kireedom again...
