Read somewhere that agin-o-moto is just a stimulant that acts on our taste buds.. and excess use can damage the tastebuds... is it true?
Why is it used? from what is it taken? is it safe to use it and how much can we use it in our daily cooking? to what all recipes can we use it other than chinese dishes?

Hi Cindy,

agin-o-moto is same as MSG.
In the good old days MSG -- Monosodium glutamate (salt form of glutamate) is an extracte from seaweed. Today, the MSG is factory produced. This is very addictive. You can find more info and links on this URL
