'Yennai Arindhaal' will be ready in less than a month

Gautham Vasudev Menon is putting all his skills to present the third instalment of his cop tales. The first look poster and the title took the internet by storm and the netizens kept the momentum going for more than 24 hours across the world. The latest news from the stylish filmmaker camp is, the movie will be completed before November as it got only another 20-25 days of shoot left. There is a high possibility of the movie’s release by the end of this year or it will rock the cinema halls for Pongal, 2015.

‘Yennai Arindhaal’ has Ajith, Anushka, Trisha, Arun Vijay, Vivek, and Parvathy Nair in the lead roles. The King of melody, Harris Jayaraj is working on the master copy and the audio is expected to release by the first week of, December. I don't see any change in the Tamil font.

Usually a customised title font of a movie undergoes a change while addressing a different group of audience. It usually happens with foreign films, where the native title is different from the international title, sometime the difference could be seen in just the usuage of fonts to increase the visibility and readability.

Most often, its all about the vocabulary, for exemple : American English uses same set of English words to imply a different meaning (try "rubber"). So, the title gets altered. Coming to the fonts, its mainly to attract the crowd by registrating the title and not the style.

There is a quite an hilarious exemple, if you care to get what it means : Hancock (already it is quite mischevious) was initially titled "Tonight, He Comes"

Another exemple that comes to my mind momentarily is 'The First Avengers', where Captain America was included for rest of the world, ofcoarse with a different font.

Usually, our Tamil films 'tanglish" title, promoted outside India, carry a very simple font so that everyone can read it. You can see it any pamplet or poster.

So unless we don't know the motive, we cannot conclude why the font underwent a change with Yennai Arindhal. It can be to create a buzz, or I have 2 propositions :

1/ I did not wish to disclose it yesterday, but as you guys are so keen in predicting the story, the previous title font has 2 candles in it. I allow you to explore your imagination. Eventhough, being a long shot to assume anything, it can be a reason for the change. Or maybe the similarity with the Tamil and English fonts crash the readability factor, notably the L.

2/ We have to find the source of this poster. Whether it is for international promotion or for internal purpose. That can make our assumptions quite certain.

There is a hidden 3rd option : Someone had smoked something interesting before publishing it ... Anyway, we have to wait to see how the other posters are going to be.

For the new one, it holds a kaleidoscope spiral in the first N, if thats gonna make any sense to anyone !

The 2 Candles are in English font but not in Tamil Font. We see 3 dots as silver flames above the alphabets in the tamil font.

The kaleidoscope observation is also great. Does it mean a Distinguished personality exhibiting Different Dimensions?

Wonder the title design has any reference to the story line?

Ajith’s Gautham Menon directed Yennai Arindhal title and first look poster created a stir on social networking sites. It became a topic of discussion, even among stars. Ajith riding a brute (bullet mobike) has created a terrific impact, as he could carry it off stylishly.

Now the producers has released a second picture, which gives the rough and tough look to the star. It is obvious Ajith is a ‘Dirty Harry’ type cop in the first picture and shows the power of the law enforcing agency.



In the second poster released today afternoon, Ajith takes the avatar of a grim and determined tough guy in denims who is on a revenge seeking mission. The powerful eyes and look of Ajith is convincing.

Gautham Menon has created a huge buzz around Yennai Arindhal, through his aggressive online first look promotions of the movie. If all the online trending and favourites are converted into box-office, then producer AM Ratnam will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Not sure if Thala would have suited..but Surya carried it very well....but the screenplay could have been entertaining...it was little boring....for Thala's very good screen presence...the screenplay should be entertaining and fast...

When Thala could do a father and son role in a Mass director KSR film......why not in a class dir GVM's film??
It would have been better with Thala for sure but in early 2000s. The film doesnt suit his image these days. Surya is a fine actor but I don't know I didn't like him much in this film. A bit mechanical in his approach in the film.

Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya was a tailer made film for Thala of late 90s or early 00s.

Fans of Ajith waited for more than 8 months to know the title of the movie and now looking forward to see the teaser and the trailer of the movie. A believable source has confirmed that the teaser will release on November 27th and Audio launch will take place on December 11th. The trailer will be released for Christmas and the movie might hit the screens on January 8th or 15th.

‘Yennai Arindhaal’ is expected to be Gautham Menon’s third movie on the life of a cop and Arun Vijay will be seen as a baddie for the first time in his career. Harris Jayaraj has completed 5 songs and working on the last one. Producer AM Ratnam's 'Thursday' sentiment is expected to hold good again for Ajith's 'Yennai Arindhaal'. While the film is being wrapped up at a brisk pace, the makers seem to have decided the dates of releases based on Thursdays. While the teaser of the much anticipated film is locked for November 27 or December 4, the audio launch of the film which has music by Haaris Jayaraj is said to happen on December 11th.

The trailer is expected to be released for Christmas and the movie might hit the screens on January 8th or 15th. The film starring Ajith, Anushka and Trisha in the lead and directed by Gautham Menon, is in the final stages of shooting. While it is reported the Ajith would seen in the salt and pepper look with Anushka and in the young look with Trisha, the fans are eager to know about the part of the film in which Ajith sports a rugged look with beard and Rudhraksh.

Yennai Arindhaal release plans cracked!

Excitement levels are soaring high with the much awaited Gautham Menon-Ajith project, Yennai Arindhaal nearing wrap up. Investigations by Behindwoods have led to believe that the film will be wrapped up completely in approximately 10 more days, after which the post production will go in full throttle.

Another exciting information is that the makers have apparently planned their releases, already. If what we hear is true, the teaser will come out on the 27th of November, music album on 11th December and the film on the 8th of January, all of them Thursdays (considered auspicious by Sri Sai Ram Creations, the producers).

However, all these dates are tentative plans and are subjected to change depending on the time the movie takes to wrap up.

What a delightful Saturday it has turned out to be for the film lovers, just when the film buffs are super excited on hearing that Thala Ajith’s Yennai Arindhaal will be releasing for Pongal 2015, here comes another delightful surprise from the producer of Shankar’s magnum opus ‘I’. We have official reports from team ‘I’ that the movie will hit the screens for Pongal 2015.

It must be noted that ‘I’ was initially speculated to be released for Diwali 2014 along with Kaththi but with look of things it might clash with Yennai Arindhaal now.

Wow. It is releasing in Ganesh like Mankatha. Forgot where veeram and aarambam got released. Does this mean shankar film will get the smaller bala ganesh or equivalent pazhani aanadavar? Or they could shift it depending on release date of both the movies.

The race for Pongal got bigger and better the moment ‘Yennai Arindhaal’ and ‘I’ announced their release for the biggest festival of Tamil Nadu. The trade sources and theatre owners are predicting that both the movies will not release on the same day as the makers of ‘I’ and ‘Yennai Arindhaa’ are looking to release the movie in maximum screens.

The long awaited teaser of Thala Ajith - Gautam Menon's Yennai Arindhaal is to be released by this week. Yennai Arindhaal's first look and title which was released a few weeks back has set the social media on fire. So the teaser is sure to be a great feast for Thala fans. The teaser is expected to release on Thursday as the team is to known for its devotion to Sai Baba. Arun Vijay, Anushka and Trisha are the other cast in this action flick slated for a January 8 release. Harris Jayaraj scores the music and the audio is expected to be out soon. Eros Music releases the audio.

There are rumours in the trade that Thala Ajith’s Yennai Arindhaal will back out from Pongal race, due to shortage of screens. Fact is that Aascar Ravichandran has blocked and booked all major big screens in the state.

But the latest buzz from the trade say that Ajith is keen on releasing the film for Pongal and the release date is likely to be Jan 9.

Yesterday, even Ayngaran who is a regular distributor of Tamil films in overseas has confirmed that the Yennai Arindhaal will release on January 9.

The confusions over Yennai Arindhaal release has started after Aascar Ravichandaran’s advertisement for I which is also slated for Pongal release. The advertisement had almost all screens in Chennai are booked for I which suggest that Yennai Arindhaal will not get desired screens.

As Thala Ajith is considered to be the king of openings, distributors can’t turn down his decision to release the film on January 9 and we can get a clear picturing by December last week.

We also hear that popular distributors are showing great interest to snap the theatrical rights of Yennai Arindhaal and the negotiations are already on.
