இது தொடர்பாக அவர் இன்று செய்தியாளர்களிடம் கூறியது:

'அஞ்சான்' படத்தில் சந்தோஷ் சிவன் பணியாற்றி இருக்கிறார். 'இனம்' படத்தை எடுத்து விட்டு எப்படி நீ பணியாற்றலாம் என்று நான் போராடவில்லை. லைக்கா நிறுவனர், ராஜபக்சேவோடு வியாபார தொடர்பு வைத்திருக்கிறார் என்பது குற்றச்சாட்டு. காமன்வெல்த் மாநாட்டில் பங்கேற்று இருக்கிறார் என்பதும் குற்றச்சாட்டு.

இந்தியாவில் இருந்து யாரும் காமன்வெல்த் போட்டியில் கலந்துகொள்ளக் கூடாது என்று களத்தில் இறங்கி போராடினோம். அதே மாதிரி லைக்கா நிறுவனம் இருக்கும் நாடுகளில் நடைபெற்ற போராட்டங்கள் எத்தனை?

'கத்தி' அப்படினு ஒரு படம் எடுப்பார்... அப்போ போராட்டம் நடத்தலாம் என்று காத்திருந்தீர்களா? அதுக்கு உங்களுக்கு சீமான் கிடைத்தானா? கடந்த 5 ஆண்டுகளில் எவ்வளவோ போராட்டங்கள் நடத்தி இருக்கிறேன். எத்தனை பேர் எனக்கு ஆதரவு அளித்தீர்கள். ஏன் 'கத்தி' எதிராக சீமான் போராடவில்லை என்பவர்கள், நான் போராடிய போது எங்கு சென்றார்கள்?

நான் உங்களது அடிமை மாதிரியும், நீங்கள் வைத்த வேலை ஆள் மாதிரியும் இருக்கிறது. அதற்கான ஆள் நான் கிடையாது. எதற்காக போராட்டம் நடத்த வேண்டும் என்று தீர்மானித்து, முடிவெடுக்க தெரியாதவர்களா இவ்வளவு பெரிய பேரியக்கத்தை கட்டி காத்து வருகிறோம்.

தேர்தல் நேரத்தில் அவ்வளவு கூட்டங்களில் பேசினனே... அப்போது எல்லாம் எங்கே சென்றார்கள் இவர்கள். இந்தப் படத்தில் நடித்த விஜய்-க்கும், இயக்கிய முருகதாஸுக்கும், லைக்கா நிறுவனத்திற்கும் என்ன சம்பந்தம் இருக்கிறது. ஏற்கெனவே கருணா என்பவர் 'வில்லு' போன்ற படங்கள் எடுத்தவர் என்பதால் போய் ஒப்பந்தமாகி இருக்கிறார்கள். கருணா என்பவர் பணத்துக்காக லைக்காவை இணைத்துக் கொண்டார்.

முதலிலே என்னிடம் இந்தத் தகவலைச் சொல்லி இருந்தார்கள் என்றால், 'விஜய் நீங்க நடிக்காதீங்க, முருகதாஸ் இயக்காதீங்க, ஐயங்கரன் நீங்க லைக்காவில் இருந்து வெளியே வந்து படம் பண்ணுங்க' என்று சொல்லி இருந்தால் விட்டுவிட்டு போயிருப்பார்கள். விஜய்யும், முருகதாஸூம் தயாரிப்பாளர்கள் இல்லாமலா லைக்காவில் படம் பண்ணுக்கிறார்கள். தொடக்கத்தில் விட்டுவிட்டு, பாதி படம் தாண்டியவுடன் என்ன போராட்டம். லைக்காவை எதிர்க்கிறீர்களா, விஜய்யை எதிர்க்கிறீர்களா, படத்தை எதிர்க்கிறீர்களா அது ரொம்ப முக்கியம். 'கத்தி' படத்தை லைக்கா எடுக்கவில்லை என்றால் என்ன பண்ணி இருப்பீர்கள். 'சண்டியர்' படம் மாதிரி ஆகியிருக்கும்.

புதுமுகங்கள் நடித்திருந்தால் எதிர்த்து போராடி இருப்பீர்களா? பதில் சொல்லுங்கள். அன்றைக்கு கமல்ஹாசன் நடிக்கும் போது 'சண்டியர்' தலைப்பு பெரிதாக இருந்தது. புதுமுகங்கள் நடிக்கும் போது பெரிதாக தெரியவில்லை.

லைக்கா நிறுவனத்தை எதிர்த்து போராடி, கம்பெனியை முற்றுகையிடுங்கள், நானும் களத்தில் இறங்கி போராடுகிறேன்.

எல்லாருக்கும் பிரச்சினை பண்ண தெரியும். பிரச்சினையை சரி பண்ணத் தெரிந்தவர்கள் நாங்கள். பிரச்சினையே பண்ணிக்கிட்டு இருக்கிற ஆட்கள் நாங்கள் அல்ல. ராஜபக்சே காசு கொடுத்து தமிழ் படம் எடுக்கிறார் என்றால் யாராவது நம்புவார்களா? எங்களை மீறி தவறான கருத்துள்ள படங்களை எடுத்து வெளியிட முடியுமா? 'கத்தி' அருமையான படமாக வரப்போகிறது. அதற்கு ஏன் எதிர்ப்பு தெரிவிக்கிறீர்கள்.

ஒரு வில்லன் குழந்தை கழுத்தில் கத்தியை வைத்துக் கொண்டு மிரட்டுகிறான். வில்லனை வீழ்த்த வேண்டும் சரி தான். ஆனால் குழந்தையை காப்பாற்ற வேண்டும் அல்லவா? சேர்த்து கொல்வதுதான் தர்மமா. இதான் போராட்ட வடிவமா... முறையா..?

'கத்தி' படத்திற்கு போராட்ட களம் இங்கில்லை. லண்டனில் இருக்கிறது. இந்தப் படம் முடிந்தவுடன், நீ படம் எடுத்தது போதும் கிளம்பு என்று சொன்னால் போய்விட போகிறார்கள்?" என்றார் சீமான்.

Now is the time to get regular musical updates on Vijay's Kaththi. Hit machine Anirudh is leaving no stone unturned for the A.R.Murugadoss - Ilayathalapathy project. Everybody is eagerly awaiting the new combo Vijay - Anirudh, for their inclination with music.
Noted gospel musician Keba Jeremiah is one of the sought-after acoustic guitarists in the trade, who propelled to fame through songs like Oh crazy penne (NKPK) and Nenjukulla (Kadal).

'கத்தி' படத்தில் தயாரிப்பாளர் பிரச்சனையை தவிர வேறு எந்த பிரச்சனையும் இல்லாததால், தயாரிப்பாளரை மாற்றிவிட்டால் உடனடியாக அந்த படத்தை எதிர்க்கும் கும்பல் அடங்கிவிடுவார்கள். அதுவும் சொந்தப்படமாக்கிவிட்டால், எந்த பிரச்சனையும் வராது என்ற எண்ணத்தில் களமிறங்கிவிட்டதாக தகவல்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன. இதற்கு ஏ.ஆர்.முருகதாஸ் அவர்களும் ஒத்துழைப்பதாகவும், விஜய் படத்தின் உரிமையை வாங்க முன்வந்தால், தனது நிறுவனமும் அந்த படத்தில் முதலீடு செய்யத்தயார் என்றும் கூறிவிட்டதாக தெரிகிறது.

எனவே லைக்கா நிறுவனத்தினடம் படத்தின் உரிமையை வாங்குவது குறித்து பேச்சுவார்த்தை நடந்து வருகிறது. படம் எந்த பிரச்சனையும் இல்லாமல் தீபாவளி அன்று திரைக்கு வரும் என்று விஜய் தனது ரசிகர் மன்ற முக்கிய பொறுப்பாளர்களிடம் தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் தெரிவித்துள்ளதால் ரசிகர்கள் படு உற்சாகத்துடன் உள்ளனர். விஜய் நடிக்கும் படம் என்றாலே உற்சாகமாக இருக்கும் ரசிகர்கள் அந்த படத்திற்கு விஜய்யே தயாரிப்பாளர் என்றால் கேட்கவும் வேண்டுமா? இந்த படத்தை தமிழ்த்திரையுலகில் இதுவரை பெறாத வெற்றியை இளையதளபதிக்கு பெற்றுக்கொடுப்போம் என்று சபதம் எடுத்துள்ளனர். விஜய்யின் அதிரடி முடிவை கண்டு இந்த பிரச்சனையை பெரிதாக்கலாம் என மனப்பால் குடித்தவர்கள் தற்போது கடும் ஏமாற்றத்தில் உள்ளனர்.

Ilayathalapathy’s Kaththi will not back off

The latest big news is that Aascar Films Ravichandran seems to have publicly announced in Chennai that his upcoming production venture, Ai directed by Shankar will hit the screens on Diwali 2014. A.R.Rahman’s music for the film is expected to be launched on a massive scale on the 15th of September.

Meanwhile, Kaththi is also being planned for a Diwali release and when we contacted our sources close to the team, we were informed that team Kaththi is in no intention to back off from the Diwali race. They are also glad to have a head-on with a project as big as Shankar’s Ai.

With two of the most anticipated movies of the year going against each other, it looks like the enthusiasts will have a packed Diwali this year…

Vijay’s Kaththi audio launch which was earlier planned to be held at London has been changed. The audio launch event will be held at Chennai on September 18th at Hotel Leela Palace. The audio is said to be launched in a grand manner. Meanwhile Anirudh, the music composer of this film is busy with the recording and Vijay’s song will be recorded this week. We heard that the audio launch plans will be announced via an official press release in upcoming days. The team is also planning to reveal the first-look trailer in upcoming weeks.
Kaththi has Vijay and Samantha in the lead roles directed by A.R.Murugadoss, music by Anirudh whereas the songs are penned by Karky, Yugabharathi and Hiphop Tamizha. The movie is scheduled for Diwali release.

For fans of Ilayathalapathy Vijay, here is the good news that they have been waiting for! The audio launch of the film will happen on the evening of September 18that Hotel Leela Palace in Chennai. The team has planned the event to be very different and extra special.
The youth sensation Anirudh Ravichander for the first time is scoring music for a Vijay film and the expectations are pretty high. It is also said that Vijay will be rendering a number in the film.

Shankar's 'Ai' is the likely underdog IMO considering Vikram's current box office. We'll see if this clash really happens.

I doubt it and i hope it doesn't.

In the age and time when almost everything depends on the first few days of the release, i guess it will not benefit both the movies if it clashes head-on.

Jilla and Veeram though had mutually exclusive markets, did eat into each other's share a fair bit because of the contest. Screens had to be shared.

Anjaan despite overwhelming negativity, still managed to show impressive numbers in the first few days. I think Anjaan released in twice as much screens as Jilla/Veeram if I am not wrong.

Though what happens after the first weekend determines the type and degree of success, still too big a risk if two biggies release on the same day.

The box office dynamics of Kathi and Ai is very different from the Jilla-Veeram one. Whereas the final outcome of Jilla-Veeram was about the same with both finally settling in the above average/moderate hit category, things could be quite different in this case. Mainly because of the box office of Ajith & Vijay - which is more or less about even. Vikram on the other hand has had many setbacks in the last few years and will be fully dependent on Shankar to deliver. It could be more damaging to Vikram if the movie fails because of the clash.

And yes, Jilla and Veeram had to share screens compared to Anjaan. Anjaan not only got the best deal possible on max screens but hyped and marketed well that despite the negative reviews, it may finally turn out in the above average category.

We earlier reported here that Vijay plays a dual role in Kaththi as Kathiresan, a political youth rebel and Jeevanantham, a role which has been kept under wraps. Apparently, Vijay has shed 8 kgs for this particualr role and toned down his physique. The team is on a continuous shooting spree till September 15th. A high intensity car chase scene was shot last night in the Avadi high road in Chennai.
The audio launch of the film has not been decided yet. It will happen on September 18th only when the team completes the final schedule before September 15th. Otherwise, it is likely to be postponed for a week and pushed towards the end of September. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film has Vijay, Samantha and Neil Nitin Mukesh in important roles.

Eros Music has purchased the much-anticipated audio rights of Vijay’s Kaththi for an undisclosed amount. While the official press release from Eros is likely to come tomorrow, Ayngaran International, one of the producers of the film confirmed the news on its official Twitter account. “Exclusive: #Kaththi audio rights snapped by #ErosMusic for a huge price.” It was only five days back, Soundarya Rajinikanth took charge as head of Eros south digital content and strategy. Kaththi marks Soundarya’s first huge deal in her new role.

Kaththi's music is all set to be launched on September 18, now the latest is that EROS music has snapped the audio rights of the film for a whooping price of 3 crores say the sources. Though the figures are yet to be officially confirmed, the buzz in audio market says that Kaththi's audio rights is the biggest among recent Tamil films.

AR Murugadoss much look forwarded movie is 'Kaththi'. Eros International Media Ltd, a leading global company in the Indian film entertainment industry announced its music label, Eros Music’s foray into Tamil music with the release its first Tamil album, Vijay starrer Kaththi, directed by AR Murugadoss with music by Anirudh Ravichander. Just listened to the full rough track of Selfie Pulla by Anirudh and Sunidhi. Lyrics has shades of Google Google. Heard Facebook, Instagram, Photoshop etc. Music wise typical Anirudh style... which is good. Can't wait to hear Vijay's rendition though.

In a recent interview, Subhaskaran Allirajah has clarified his identity and answered why there’s a lot of black clouds over ‘Kaththi’. He says the he had left Srilanka in 1989, and all my relatives are here (Europe). The Tamil people out here or in any other country has not raised any objection to my company and it is baffling to see few organizations in TN is against to my film.

He went on to add that all these controversies got nothing to with Vijay and I have not asked Vijat to not to speak about the ongoing baseless controversies. Our business is huge and it is our rivals who are cooking things to diminish our image. While briefing about his alleged relationship with Rajapakse; he dismissed them by saying, why Rajapakse has to make a movie in Tamil? Well, if the story is against to the Tamil people, then one can think about Rajapakse’s involvement, but, ‘Kaththi’ got nothing to do with Tamizh Eezham and it its people.

Subakaran ended the interview by saying Seeman is not supporting us, he is just speaking the truth and our company has not started talking about anything related to a possible partnership with him in the future. He did question why none of these people said anything when he produced Cheran starrer ‘Pirivom Sandhippom’?

In the Press Meet held today on Kaththi, the makers wanted to clarify the 5 issues revolves around this anticipated movie of the year!

Issue 1

Images showing Lycamobiles logo in the background of the Sri Lankan Government sponsored Common Wealth Business forum was morphed. The first article with these morphed pictures which appeared in a website in an attempt to mislead the public. Lyca productions clarified that the Lyca Group representation in Srilanka for the forum was only as a business participant – one among the several who participated. The Lyca Productions team has also lodged a complaint with the cyber-crime division in Chennai, and a copy of the compliment was also shared with the media.

Issue 2

A second set of images appeared in the same website some months later showing the chairman of the Lyca Group getting off a Srilankan military helicopter. This helicopter was hired by the Lyca Mobile from Helitours, a company providing chartering service of inactive military helicopters, a service available to anyone. Lyca Group had to use the Helitours services as it was the only way to travel around Srilanka within a short time. The Lyca Group team had gone to around Srilanka a that time to survey the areas and to understand the problems faced by the tamil people and to create appropriate programs for their rehabilitation. The picture was used completely out-of-context in the website creating by vested interests to create confusion.

Issue 3

Lyca Fly, an airline ticketing company and a registered member of IATA, with a license to sell airline tickets of 240 airlines around the world Sri Lankan Airlines is one among the many airlines which Lyca Fly is contracted to offer to the public. This benign and normal matter has also been used wrongly with the media by the same group trying to create issues against the group.

Issue 4

Among the various charities done by the Lyca Group, is a donation given to the British Asian Trust, a charitable trust run by Prince Charles. For this trust, Lyca Group has committed One Million Pounds, of which an initial installment cheque of GBP 250,000 was given to Mr. Muttiah Muralitharan, the chosen ambasssador to accept the cheque given by the British Asian Trust. The photograph of this cheque handover was misused in the media by using wrong contexts.

Issue 5

In another incident Mr. Chris Tooley’s image has been connected to Mr. Rajapakshe’s son in a charitable ‘walk’ organized by cricketer Mr. Ian Botham. The event titled ‘Beefy’s Charity Walk’ has been held in several countries since 2010 and the walk held in Srilanka also had several cricket veterans like Mr. Sunil Gavaskar and Mr. Sourav Ganguly participating. By merely showing two personalities, Mr. Tooley and Mr. Rajapakshe’s son, running together, the picture attempted to tarnish the image of the Lyca Group.

It's official - Kaththi is a confirmed Diwali release

The producers of Kaththi, Lyca Productions, met the press today in Chennai and clarified all the issues surrounding them. They also reiterated that the movie would be a Diwali release for sure. The banner was represented at the meet by the Chairman of the group Mr. Subaskaran Allirajah, the Vice-Chairman Mr. Premananthan Sivasamy and producer Mr. K. Karunamoorthy

Mr. K. Karunamoorthy was hopeful of delivering more successful movies from their banner, with the best talent available in the industry, in the coming days too. He went on to clarify all the issues which are being circulated by alleged vested groups.
