Kaththi's trailer is about to create a record?

When fans and fanatics were going through nail-biting moments, bang on 6 pm on 19th October, Kaththi's trailer had released. Enough is said on the trailer's review, considering the number of times you might have watched.

In just 15 hours, we can evidently see that the trailer has created a booming buzz and the level of visits and views has touched eight lakh odd times in youtube alone.

When movies trailers are dependent on theatre screen availability and costly TV slots to play their trailers once, online-social media has taken everything by a storm. Proving all facts right, the expectation has been increased form heaps to mountains for Vijay starrer - 'Kaththi'.

Though the wait is finally over, it is time for the main release and it sure is going to be a double diwali bonanza for all the Vijay fans.

Vijay's 'Kaththi' Trailer Takes Internet by Storm; Set to Get 1 Million Views

The trailer of Vijay-Samantha's "Kaththi" has received overwhelming response on the net.

After much anticipation, "Kaththi" trailer was released at 6 p.m. on Sunday (19 October). As soon as the 96-second video hit the net, it created frenzy among Vijay fans. It has fetched more than 8 lakh hits in less than a day on video sharing site YouTube. The trailer is likely to cross the 10 lakh mark (1 Million views) within a day.

The trailer looks interesting and is set to be a commercial entertainer with all the key elements including action, thrill, punch dialogues, romance and comedy. Vijay's dialogue delivery, Neil Nithin Mukesh's stylish looks and his Tamil dubbing, Samantha's charming looks, cinematography by George C Williams and Anirudh's background score are some of the major highlights of the trailer.

The video does not reveal much except that Vijay plays the saviour of village people, while Neil Nithin appears in the role of a corporate guy. There is nothing much known about other Vijay's character in the trailer. "Kaththi" does appear to convey a social message similar to Murugadoss's "Ramana.

Our only request is that the Lyca company's name should be removed. Though Ayngaran have accepted to remove, Lyca have not agreed to do the same. Hence our protests will continue.
Abirami Ramanathan the head of Chennai Theatres Association and Tamil Nadu film theatres association head Panneerselvam have stated that " Unless we get the green light from the you the film won't release, since theatres safety is a must."
FEFSI Siva has also assured us that "Hereafter they won't work for films under Lyca productions". Let them release under a different banner concluded Velmurugan.

The Tamil Nadu release of Kaththi has been officially reiterated and confirmed for the 22nd of October. This is indeed a great news for the countless fans of Vijay and all cinema lovers, who have been an anxious lot over the past day or so due to the political controversies surrounding the movie.
This is what the official press statement reads like

We will always have our regular dose of the Akilan's, Velmurugan's, Illamaran's and Vijayaratnam's. No escaping from hate and hypocrisy :).

In this case, Lyca backing out is the logical conclusion given their controversial link-ups with Rajapakshe. Hard on Lyca especially as we know so many businesses and leaders in Tamil Nadu and India have cordial/business relationships with Sri Lanka. Plus the fact, as you rightly say, this is Lyca's product and he has every right to release it his way. And no body has issues for Kaththi releasing in countries where Sri Lankan tamils dominate.

All these are fine, but unfortunately though, we are here in Tamil Nadu and we have got used to all these petty politics and hence we have to buckle down. See if Thalaivaa happens again it will be tough to expect producers, theatre owners and the public to have the same level of confidence in Vijay movies as before.

Velmurugan or Saranidharan or whoever here are such low-lives. They will go nowhere. Giving them reasons to smile today will ensure they will mourn and cry for the rest of their lives. Hence, taking them head-on is not a wise thing.
