Naiyaandi is an upcoming Indian Tamil comedy film written and directed by A. Sarkunam. The film features Dhanush and Nazriya Nazim in the lead roles. According to sources, the movie is the love story between a Kuthu Vilaku shop owner and a BDS student.

Talking to TOI, Sarkunam said, "Yes, Dhanush has agreed to play the lead in my next film and has signed up for the project though we are yet to confirm the producer." The film which was earlier titled as Sotta Vazhakutty has now been titled as Naiyaandi. While the names of Amala Paul, Samantha and Hansika Motwani were being floated around at various stages of the film's pre-production, the filmmaker has finally zeroed in on Nazriya Nazim, a child actress-turned-heroine in Mollywood, to pair opposite Dhanush. Director Sarkunam has started the film on Feb 13 with other artists and Dhanush joined the shoot from Feb 21

I love Sara Sara => Vairamuthu's words are a delight, plus all the sounds Ghibran mixed turned to be an excellent output.
Where as the difference in the (same) folk that he has brought out in Naiyandi is completely opposite, at the same time delivers the flavour quite attentively.
So it makes one wonder whether the 2 songs were composed by the same compositor => its in that (positive) sense I meant it.

Moodar Koodam did not release here in France. Am waiting for the DVD or Bluray release. Very much interested in watching this movie as each song/track/piece is a gem and all of them are still holding a place in my "current playlist".

Nazriya Nazim complained against the producer/ director of Naiyaandi to Nadigar Sangham for cheating.

It seems actress Nazriya has a knack of getting into the news. She has updated in her facebook that she has complaint against the Naiyaandi producer/director for shooting an intimate scene using a body double for her.

She said, "I have complained against the producer/director of Naiyaandi to Nadigar Sangham for cheating. They have used a body double to shoot the below scene without my permission. This is against contractual agreements. We will take legal action."

It seems the actress is mentioning about a scene that is being used as a wall paper in which Dhanush is seen holding her from the back. The same picture has created a furor in Kerala, her home State and people were up in arms against her for being so glamorous in her second movie in Kollywood itself. It has to be recalled that earlier the actress has said that if she has to do glam roles, she will quit films than continue acting.

Naiyaandi has Dhanush in the lead and has Nazriya Nazim as the heroine. The film has Soori also in the comedian role. Sargunam is the director and the music is by Ghibran. The film will get released on Oct 11. The film is produced by Kathiresan.

Let's wait and see what happens further and how the team will react to her complaint!

Her status, which was accompanied by a screenshot of the scene involving the double, goes thus:

The director reportedly dared Nazriya to file a complaint and declared that he was going to go ahead with the scene. He is also reported to have said that he told Nazriya that he used the double because she expressed her unwillingness to shoot the scene.

As per director while editing he thought a close up scene is necessary as it is the lead to a song.. so he called Nazriya and asked if she could come and do that scene.. she replied she couldnt come from kerala to do this single scene..she added since it is a close up and doesnt need my face you shoot it another person.. so director shot the scene with a body double..

You are being silly here. You are wrong here again. What risk is involved here? I don't know what you are on about risk and all. She does't want to act glamerous and what's wrong with it? There are far better directors that use a good actress in non-glamerous roles. If the director is incompetent and cheap, and he cannot shoot a film without bellybutoons and all the nonsense, he can spare us. Imagine if this was done to a male actor, his fans and all others would be up in arms, ready to knock out the director. Appadi illa, on the whole its a pleasure to see TFI movies releasing in France, that too 2013 saw almost every movie releasing here. That means TFI has got good market here. Just promotion kongam fine tune panna other competitors-a easy over take panidalam.

Shiva, Vimal & Siva Karthikeyan, should come out of their comfort zones and try out something demanding : some points -
Shiva : sirikama joke addikarthu / crispness in delivering dialogues (sentences half thaan pesuvaar + punctuations-na enna-nu theriyathu)
Vimal : appavi mari face vachikarthu / articulation / body language
Siva : gigling even for mokkai moments / unnecessary frowns / showing more energy than needed / meter acting - I think he lacks concentration

Apart from that, these guys do pull reasonable crowds.

There are far better directors that use a good actress in non-glamerous roles. If Nazriya's reaction to the episode (given the nature of the Industry) looks naive, despite justifiably aggrieved, Sargunam's response here is venomous.

மாலை 7.30 மணிக்கு அவசர பிரஸ்மீட் என்றுதான் தகவல் கொடுத்திருந்தார்கள் நஸ்ரியா சார்பில். ஆனால் அவர் வந்ததோ கிட்டத்தட்ட 9 மணிக்கு. கேட்டால் விமானம் தாமதம் என்றார்கள். ஒரு நிருபர் விமான நிலையத்துக்கு போன் செய்து பயணிகள் லிஸ்ட்டையே செக் பண்ணிவிட்டார். நஸ்ரியா பெயர் அதில் இல்லையாம்!

அப்படியே அவர் விமானத்தில் வந்ததாக வைத்துக் கொண்டாலும், காலை 7 மணிக்கே சென்னையில் படம் பார்த்துவிட்டேன். நல்ல படம், எனக்கு பிரச்சினையில்லை என்று நஸ்ரியா சொன்னது எவ்வளவு பெரிய பொய். காலை 7 மணிக்கு சென்னையில் படம் பார்த்துவிட்டு, கேரளாவுக்குப் போய், திரும்ப பிரஸ் மீட்டுக்காக சென்னை வந்தாரா என்ன?





மதம் பற்றி பேசவே இல்லையாம்...
தனது புகாரில் மூன்று இடங்களில் இஸ்லாம் மதத்தை தேவையில்லாமல் இழுத்திருந்தார் நஸ்ரியா. சற்குணம் தன் மதத்தைச் சொல்லி மிரட்டியதாகக் கூறியிருந்தார். தன் மதத்தின் பெருமை காக்க உதவுமாறு கமிஷனரிடம் கோரியிருந்தார்.




ஆனால் தான் அப்படிச் சொல்லவே இல்லை என்று அடாவடியாக மறுத்தார் நஸ்ரியா. அட ஒரு நிருபர் கையில் நஸ்ரியாவின் புகார் கடித நகலைக் காட்டியும்கூட சொன்னதையே திரும்பத் திரும்ப சொல்லிக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.

நான் படம் பார்த்தேன்.. ஹேப்பி.. நல்லா வந்திருக்கு.. சப்போர்ட் பண்ணுங்க என்று பல முறை சொன்ன நஸ்ரியாவை டக்கென்று மடக்கினார் ஒரு நிருபர். சரி நீங்க படம் பார்த்ததாகவே வச்சிக்குவோம்.. எந்த தியேட்டர்ல பாத்தீங்க.. எப்போ பார்த்தீங்க? என்றார்.
ஒரு நிடமிடம் ஆடிப் போய்விட்ட நஸ்ரியா, திருதிருவென விழித்தார். பின்னர் பக்கத்திலிருந்த தயாரிப்பாளர் கதிரேசன் மற்றும் வக்கீலிடம் குசுகுசுத்தார். அப்புறம் சொன்னார் இதே தியேட்டர்லதான் என்று. அவர் படம் பார்த்த லட்சணம் புரிந்து போய்விட்டது.






படத்தைக் காட்டச் சொல்லித்தான் புகார் கொடுத்தேன்...



'நான் படம் பார்க்கல. ட்ரைலர்தான் பாத்தேன். அந்த சீன் பாத்து ஷாக்காயிட்டேன். அதான் எனக்கு படத்தைக் காட்டணும்னு கேட்டுத்தான் அந்த புகாரை கொடுத்தேன்', என்றார்.

அப்படின்னா அதை தயாரிப்பாளர்கிட்ட ஏன் கேட்கல, இயக்குநரிடம் பேசியிருக்கலாமே என்று கேட்டனர். உடனே கம்யூனிகேஷன் கேப் என்று சிரிக்க முயன்றார் நஸ்ரியா.
ஏங்க உங்க கம்யூனிகேஷன் கேப்பை இப்படி பொதுப்பிரச்சினையாக்கி பப்ளிசிட்டி தேடுவது சரியா என்ற கேள்வியைக் கேட்காதவர் மாதிரி நடித்தார் நஸ்ரியா.

உடன் வந்திருந்த தயாரிப்பாளர் கதிரேசனும் சளைக்காமல் பொய் சொன்னார். ஏங்க, நஸ்ரியா உங்க டைரக்டர் சீட்டிங் பண்ணதா சொல்றார். நீங்க தயாரிப்பாளர் கேட்டுக்கிட்டிருக்கீங்க.. அவர் ஏமாத்தினது உண்மைதானா என்று கேட்டபோது, 'அதை எங்க டைரக்டர்கிட்ட கேட்டுதான் சொல்ல முடியும்,' என்றார்.

இயக்குநர் சற்குணத்துடன் சமாதானமாயிட்டீங்களா என்று கேட்டபோது, எங்களுக்குள்ள சண்டையே இல்லையே. சண்டை போட்டாதானே சமாதானம் ஆக.. என்றாரே பார்க்கலாம்.

Sargunam after romantic comedy Kalavani & great Vaagai Sooda Vaa is not in his elements. He should stick 2 his strengths.

I liked the village set-up, esp. the bridge between the shop and Nazriya's house. Felt that all the village scenes, the Kuthu Villaku shop, the villaku arrangements too good. These are something new to me and I always adore watching them. You can't see them in your day to day life, unless you are a part of that life style.

This movie is one of the worst movies I seen my life, I dont say this because of Nazriya issue. I have no clue why Dhanush or Nazriya wanted to be part of this movie. It makes all the other movies released this year appear better.

From now on Sullan wont be Dhanush worst movie for sure. I can understand why he wanted to do a commercial movie after serious movies like Mayakkam Enna, 3, Ambikaavathi, Maryan.

Nazriya is a very young actress, this movie should make her aware of selecting better scripts. She has potential, but she must try to solve issues without dragging media into it. Media can make you star and media can make you a nobody in notime.

Director Sargunam's future is uncertain after this movie. Director Sarkunam has made terrible waste of a good opportunity with a good cast and technical staff.

Ghibrans songs sounded good on audio, visually they dont seem good. This is not a movie where Ghibran has been tested a lot, it must have been piece of cake composing songs and BGM.

Regarding comedy, where is it in the movie? Or is it the whole movie that is a joke?
