View Full Version : Hindi Sahitya Sammelan formed in Singapore

Singapore, 12 May 2013 : To promote hindi language, literature and devnagari script, an organization namely "Singapore Hindi Sahitya Sammelan" has been formed today at DAV Hindi School in the campus of Arya Samaj Mandir, Syed Alwi Road, in a meeting organized by intellectuals and hindi lovers of the city, in the presence of Dr. Anil Sulabh, President of Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan.

Presiding over the meeting Mr. Om Prakash Rai, the Chief of Arya Samaj Mandir and DAV Hindi School, said the new organization shall achieve the objectives very soon, for which the organization has been formed. He also welcomed Dr. Sulabh and requested to give further guidance for a smooth running.

A working committee of 21 members was also constituted in the Presidentship of Mr. Rai. Mr. Shiv Shankar Pandey and Mr. Ashok Rai have been elected as Vice Presidents. Other prominent persons include Mr. Manish Mishra as Prabandh Mantri, Mr. Sundararajan as Kala Mantri, Mr. Girish Rai as Arth Mantri and Mrs. Subhasri, Mrs. Swarnalatha and Dr. Vinita Sinha as members of the working committee.

Dr. Anil Sulabh, while addressing the meeting, hoped that the new working committee shall work hard for the upliftment of Hindi language and literature with full of dedication. He congratulated the new committee and extended all his support. Dr. Sulabh also awarded Mr. Rai and Mr. Pandey with Honarary Life Membership of Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan.
