Hamid has stole my thoughts. And above that, I do agree that T20 is unpredictable. But what do you call a team which has been so consistent in the format? Even in international T20 cricket, we get new champions every WC. But CSK's performance in IPL is there to be seen. Such is their dominance. I cant digest the fact that someone is brushing that aside and attributing success to luck.

In that case, let me explain you the term luck. A player goes unpicked at the auctions because of his no show in the previous editions. Later he joins a team as a replacement for an injured player and starts playing well. That is called luck. :)

CSK started building the team from 08 and retained the core in 2011 auctions. Only other team to do that was MI and both teams have been successful since then. Luck played no role here.

Technically, CSK hasn't qualified for the playoffs. Three losses and a bad NRR could still throw CSK out. So hope they don't feel complacent. I think the MI match would've given them the much needed spark.

RR just outplayed CSK in every department period and ofcourse with ZERO LUCK Factor :). Dravid took the right calls and executed it flawlessly.

If everything goes well they might be meeting CSK again in Playoffs (1,2)

Most of the matches go beyond 11:30 p.m. and even IPL schedule their match press conferences the next morning. Hence it doesn't really make sense to stay awake especially if it looks like a losing cause. It is good to catch up sleep early, once in a while.:)

Terrific captaincy from Dravid :) Can't help but wonder, how much India would have benefitted from a long stinct to Dravid's captaincy. An all-pace attack, bringing in a surprise bowler for every match and tweaking the batting order (having Watto for the middle overs today) as per the team's needs.......Dravid has been spectacular...I am sure CSK would do well, to take a clue out of RR's approach today, especially the death bowling so that they fare better in the next outing.

Yes. Cant agree more. Dravid's captaincy and Shane Watson were the difference between the two sides. They took 3 quick wickets and that too of 3 in form batsmen. That pegged us back. MS could've promoted Badri before himself on this track.

Morris, IMO is the only genuine pace bowler we have in our ranks and should be persisted with. Morris, can be a lot threatening if he shares the new ball.
Also, Dhoni will surprise the opponents in the playoffs by bowling Ashwin with the new ball and Ashwin will be the spearhead in the final stages, just like Shane Warne in the '99 World Cup (Wishful thinking!!)
We should try bringing in Faf for Holder and Jakati for Vijay.......just as an experiment in our next game, which means we can open with Huss and Faf.
Mohit, Morris, Bravo, Ashwin and Jakati would be a good combination or atleast we should try once before the playoff's

Being a RCB fan , I have already made it clear. They don't deserve to be in playoff . RCB started off well , it caught my attention (a guy who stopped following IPL after 1st edition). After loosing to MI its down hill for them, they never recovered. and RP Singh's no ball will haunt them :).
