Vizhithiru - action thriller film written and directed by Meera Kathiravan, who debuted with Aval Peyar Thamizharasi.

Soodhu Kavvum is directed by Nalan Kumarasamy (Nalaya Iyakunar fame). He directs short films as Nalan and goes by the pseudo "nalanish" on youtube and has handfull of shortfilms posted. I like his works. He has casted most of the actors of him short films in Soodhu Kavvum. They are quite talented, esp., Karunakaran.

The Musci is my Santhosh Narayanan (Pizza). Just heard the songs. They are quite good.

I wish the team the best and the sucess of Soodhu Kavvum. Spl wishes to Vijay Sethupathi - you just rock in the new getup.

Like the arrows in the poster, I hope the audiences wont run left and right after watching the movie.
I used to like Sundar C films for his humour and fastness until he blew Nadia's car with his cigerette from about 500 metres !

His comeback directorial Kalakalapu interested me a bit, hope TVK would atleast match it (and then there is MGR also).

Anyway my wishes to the team for the film's sucess.

Kalakalappu - I found it good until the hotel part took the centre stage. Then it started to sink. Santhanam's in "role-for-Vadivelu" Character gave some laughable 1 liners. And I liked the Illavarasu character / get-ups a lot and towards the end his dialogues and actions were really funny.

He is on the bridge to saturation. The biriyani & parcel one liners are exemples. Plus the begining chess scene is exactly OK OK mutamadi scene and the comparison of gril with hard alcohol has been done many times by himself. And his new found power star jokes does not evoke laughter.

But still his timing in giving shocked expression is amusing.

Released as Celluloid in Malayalam, this film merited most of the awards for 2012 in various categories. The actors really brought out their best keeping in mind that its a huge homage to man who dedicated himself to cinema. [its in the lines of Hugo Cabret or The Artist - but nothing to do with these movies, but a biopic of the first malayalam film maker and his passion towards cinema].

Dhanush’s production house Wunderbar Films has become a brand in Tamil, after the success of Ethir Neechal. Vetrimaran, with whom Dhanush made Aadukalam has also turned producer with Udhayam NH4 made under his banner Grass Root Films.

Now Wunderbar Films and Grass Root are coming together to produce a new film Kakka Muttai. It is said to be a children film with a difference. All actors including children will be newcomers.

Kakka Muttai will be directed by Manikandan, who will also be the cinematographer. GV Prakash will be providing music for this film which will be completed in one schedule.

இசையமைப்பாளரானது குறித்து சிவமணி கூறியுள்ளதாவது, ரொம்ப சந்தோஷமாக இருக்கிறது. இப்படத்திற்கு இதுவரை நான்கு பாடல்களை கம்போஸ் பண்ணிவிட்டேன். முதல்பாடலை லாஸ் ஏஞ்சல்ஸ் நகரில் வைத்து கம்போஸ் பண்ணினேன். பொதுவாக என்னுடைய படங்களின் இசையில் டிரம்ஸ் *கொஞ்சம் வேகமாக இருக்கும். அதேப்போல் இந்தபடத்திலும் அது தொடரும். அதேசமயம் மெலோடியும் நிறைய இருக்கும். ரசிகர்களே ஆச்சர்யப்படும் அளவுக்கு இந்தபடத்தின் இசை கொஞ்சம் வித்தியாசமாக இருக்கும். வித்தியாசமாக செய்கிறேன் என்று வலிய போய் இசை திணிக்க நான் விரும்பவில்லை, கதைக்கு என்ன தேவையோ அந்த இசையை நான் கொடுப்பேன் என்று கூறியுள்ளார்.

LoL, I thought I would provoke people by mentioning "Prem" in the casting, but Disposables made me laugh.

But jokes apart, I really enjoyed the Abavanan moives namely :
Karuppu Roja - the Mackenna's Gold style saving baby
Inaitha Kaigal - the rope hanging interval block
Senthoorapove - the whole action sequences and Chandra Sekar screams

I revisted these movies lately and I have mentioned it here. I think that if they deceide to make a movie in the same genre (just like the "rock-concert" style climax of jai Hind) - am in for it.

And did you note the comment in the Youtube Video trailer of Jai Hind 2 ... LoL
And yes time was not "very" cruel with Arjun. He is still holds himself as "Action King".

:-) yeah but Prem, IMO is better than Mansoor/Arun Pandian/Napolean in action films. Ramki still looks good, but kural valam dhaan konjam odda irukkum. Arjun is trying to choose scripts which are out of his comfort zone like MPMK, Kadal but they don't seem to work well for him and in the BO. An Arjun+VK combo would have been good to watch some 10 years back.

The art is not only a symmetrical balanced one, but also looks like a design that is found on the gates of villas. Also the font they have used comes too close to the word Pizza.
They have put some thought towards the design, hope the movie has the same brilliance as the former.

Billa - Villa : on the lettres side they are both too close just having a "curve" difference.

But the font and the style are different. Billa has a pyramidical depth, but Villa went for a straight forward one.

Secondly, eventhough both being symmetrical, the Billa design is an abstract form, whereas Villa sticks to the "famous-yet-easy-to-make" butterfly.
Plus they have included the clutural forms and shapes. I could pickup many "Kolam" type designs in there.

Yes its another team. Deepan seems to be a good and promising debutant + its Santosh Narayanan for the music. Eventhough less talked about for the moment, I am sure he is soon to get a place in our discussions.

The casting - notably Vaibav - is the only thing I was going to watch closely, thats where I can write my line "I had a problem with this movie" ... LoL

Nenachen. When SRK came for Vijay Rewards, he probably asked for Chevalier Sivaji award as compensation. After that kosu-padam RaOne using Rajini as crowd-pull & the curd-rice/noodles/Tamilian digs, he comes back to mock them through this. Kamal's Express did NOT even mock the seit-jis/mumbaites/bengalis/Amits in general, so why SRK is going to such levels. And why cast a Kannadiga as a Tamilian? Accent vera. ...:banghead:

And to this date, I cannot understand the hate over Kamal's Mumbai Express. It's still a fairly enjoyable comedy. The kind of reaction/situations between Pasupathi/Vaiyapuri and KH is rib-tickling. Even when Sharat Saxena/Santhana come in the pre-climax scenes are too good. It's certainly far better than that OKOK comedy or Santhanam's recent "attempt' at comedy.

From my side, I would say its always interesting to see the observations that had been noted on different community or soceity. How the interpretations are made by a group of people from one region over the others in the adjesent ones. For me its movie cultural, thought provoking and laughable. The immediate exemples that come to my mind is the movie where Vedivelu gets beaten and when his friends asks him he convinces them by saying that he was taking a "massage". Further he explains to them where to go for the correct massage for a particular pain in the body. Vivek too had some quite good observation on Madras Accent. KS Ravikumar in Panchathantharam had shown beautifully the take of 4 regionally different family handing the same news. These kind of things are always fun to watch.

Coming to SRK, whatever we say, he got an army following him exceeding the nationality limits. I wonder if Aliens are his fan too. His reach is enorme, and there is no denying in it. Its the advantage that he takes is what that does not go well with me. In Ra One the "Konjam Konjam" was the most silliest and abusive joke. In 'Om Shanti Om' his dialogue "Yenna Rascala" made me wonder from where he got such a wrong accent and who in TN says that ? So its all mockery for him which will be applauded as meaningless as his comments.

Lastly, here is another proof of the people who talk non-stop about Tamil and Tamilan. And yes I am talking about Satyaraj. Being a part in this mockery movie projects his attitude. Then there is no point in blasting Kanadigas using the words "Tamilan paithiyakaran". His participation in this movie proves it. Now dont give me that its "just a movie". For those who think movie is much more than entertainment and spending money, will understand what I mean. And I am not a person who takes everything to 1st degree, but there are some matters which should be adressed more seriously.

Firstly the music, the flavor has increased. Impressive visuals (notably that statue). Nasser in "coat-suit" (lol) and another insistence of butterfly just like in the title design. Ajith style of pin pointing that it has nothing to do with VS is note worthy.

But looking at all the cobwebs, runnings and shocks, I wish it does not do something like Chadramukhi - "pambu irruku, balli irruku" .. LoL

Quite an impressive trailer that provokes every interest to watch it. Wish the film Villa (Pizza 2) all success.

And now the big question it whether this movie will be released here !

Excellent Poster. The deco is impressive - the chairs with the buttons, the wooden doors with glass windows, the wooden support, the lamps ... and topping everything is the glass painting with its quite unique design on top of the high bench where the tagline is written.

Isn't Peter Jackson's Hobit filmed in 2D HFR (Hight frame Rate) ? But ofcoarse with limted prints as I saw it only on 24 FPS. Never seen a 48 FPS before.

Now, people may wonder that we do not have Jury trails in India : True, but we had it until 1960. After the partiality and influence found in the verdict of the Jury, that particular case was re-judged and also the Jury trials were abandoned, replacing it by Bench Trails.

So Vaimai (a word closely associated with Trails - and the second poster with cloth covered eyes with Rs symbol is justice influenced by money !?! ), So Vaimai maybe a period film, that explains the decors, (but the bottled water says a different story). This maybe “a” case set before 1960, but may not be the actual trial that abolished Jury Trails in India, but an imaginary one where this angry lady is trying to defend that the kid did not murder his father and the man she addresses maybe jury N° 3 (who hates kids) from 12 angry Men (he looks quite rich with his ray ban on the desk) !
