But a source close to the multiple National Award-winning filmmaker dismisses all these speculations as "nothing but rumours" and insists that this is definitely not the title of the film and the poster is but a random image.

As expected:) the design and title looked amateurish for Mani ratnam's standards..Aditi is perfect..reminds me a lot of isha kopikar..but shes quite bold..KArthi should be prepared for some very intimate scenes :D

The fan made poster does not speak of the film, but it's purpose was to boost SJS as an action hero with a shotgun in his hand. Its heavily inspired from Total Recall 2012.

The first look of Nenjam Marappathillai is intriguing.

The official poster painted completely in red, indicates an assosiation with the past. The color symbolizes super-human heroism to the Greeks and also usually refered as magical and religious color. It stands for energy, passion and action including emotion and motives invloved within. The 'Yellow Eyes', the two glare dots produced by the source of light, may represent cowardice or mental illness.

The poster looks Satanic, a kind of Devil as a deity or force to revere or worship. There is a logo on the guitarist shirt. It's an inverted electric guitar. But if you follow the shadows on both sides, a sort of bat figure will emerge making the top corners of the guitar look as horns and the shadow spreading around as wings and above it's demonic head, there is an (angelic) halo.

Another interesting aspect is the neon triangle, a sort of pyramid and few iconic colored objects inside resembling the Eye of Horus. You can find a lot of Greek influence in the poster [Rhind Mathematical Papyrus (RMP) and the geometry problems assosiated], if you take into account the various glyphs (a hieroglyphic character or symbol) masked to represent certain alphabets in the film crew names : Greek Capital Letters Alpha, Sigma, Theta, Lambda, Psi, Upsilon ... etc.

Looking at the words and the color variations in the title font, you can easily identify that 'Bathil (Illai)' is prominent refering indirectly to paranormal events, maybe. And in the artwork above and below the title font, a cross is placed at the center - the above is straight, and the one below is inverted.

No futher comments, each hint is the viewers choice to decipher, if they are interested.

சரி.. இதில் உள்ள ‘காற்று வெளியிடை’க்கு என்ன அர்த்தம்?

சில இளைஞர்களிடம் கேட்டபோது.. .

‘காற்று போல பிடிக்க முடியாத இடை உள்ள ‘கண்ணம்மா’ன்னு அர்த்தம்’ (ஆஹான்!)

‘காற்றைப் பிடித்தால் நழுவும் இல்லையா.. அதே போல பிடிச்சா நழுவுகிறாளாம்..” (ஆஹா.. அச்சடா!)

‘பூமியில் காற்று நிரம்பியுள்ள பகுதி எவ்வளவோ அவ்வளவு தன் காதல் நிரம்பியிருக்கிறதாம்’ (பலே பலே!)

’ஏன் சார்.. இவ்ளோ யோசிக்கறீங்க? படத்தில ஹீரோ பைலட். காற்று வெளில ப்ளைட் ஓட்டறார்.. அதான் காற்று வெளியிடை!’ (கரெக்ட்டா வருது!)

‘மூச்சுக் காத்து இருக்கறதாலதான் இதயம் துடிக்குது. அந்த மூச்சுக் காத்து இருக்கற இதயத்துல... ‘ (தம்பி.. போதும்.. முடியல)

’காற்று வெளியிடை கொண்டு கூட்டுப் பொருள் கோள் காற்று இடைவெளி. காற்று இடைவெளியற்றது. அவ்வாறு இடைவெளி இருப்பினும் அந்த வெளியும் உன் மீதான என் காதலால் நிரம்பியிருக்கிறது’ (நான் ரெண்டு நாள் லீவு.. என்னை விட்ருங்க!)

’சார்.. படத்தில ஹீரோயின் யார் சார்?’ (நான் உன்னை, என்ன கேட்டா.. நீ என்னை என்ன கேட்கற? ரேஸ்கெல்!)

இது சரிவராது என்று கவிஞர் மகுடேசுவரனைத் தொடர்பு கொண்டோம்:

‘என்னென்னமோ சொல்றாங்க. எனக்கே பயமா இருக்கு சில விளக்கமெல்லாம் பார்த்து. ரொம்ப சாதாரணமான அர்த்தம்தான். ‘இருவருக்கும் இடையே’ங்கறதுல வர்ற ‘இடை’க்கான அர்த்தம்தான். இடையே. காற்றுவெளி இடையே. வானத்திடையே பறவை பறக்குது-ங்கற மாதிரி.. காற்று வெளியிடை(யே) நின்றன் காதலை எண்ணிக் களிக்கின்றேன்’-னு சொல்லிருக்கார்’

Stephen King's novel Christine was made into a motion picture by John Carpenter in 1983. It narrates the actions of a possessed car, which the protagonist tries to stop before more evil is caused by the Devil Car. Dora-the film, has a possessed car too, also, new elements like rolling lemon fruit, flying ashes, billhook, religious bells, a lady exorcist in saffron, and last but not least, decorated tridents – every item pointing to the well adapted materials to confirm that its indeed a South Indian Horror Genre Film.

Another possessed car movie (before Christine) was made in 1977 and it was simply named The Car. Even though few like myself consider it as a cult film, the movie never got a Cult status.

Recently I watched this British & Irish film named Stitches. But I cannot recommend it to all audiences; only to those who are a fan of old-school slasher films. Stitches, directed by Conor McMahon, narrates how a clown called Stitches dies in an accident caused by a bunch of kids. Years later, the kids are now teenagers, Stitches resurrects to have his revenge - Clowns are not funny anymore. The film is a Horror-Slasher, a bit of satire and humors when it walks through the life of clumsy and dirty, I mean, regular teens.

After Dora, Balloon is likely to bring in another awesome (the Clown Horror) genre to our audience. I wish producers/directors bring back creatures and monsters too, and pack up the ongoing unfunny Haunted Mansion series. All the best to Balloon team, and please release the film in France.

Talking about Jai, his recent movie Enakku Vaitha Adimaigal is hillarious. Wondering why no one speaks about this humoristic film. The movie follows exactly the footsteps of Idharku Thaan Asaipattaiya Balakumara. Kali Venkat is in full form and is well supported by Karunakaran. 'Beautiful' Rajendran - what a man! - enters with cylinders filled with laughter gas and explodes them during the climax. Jai, as well as other characters, utter some cool one-liners. Jai alone at the lodge room are well enacted. A bunch of Lollu Sabha guys are also present. Enakku Vaitha Adimaigal is a film that does not takes itself too seriously. Give it a try when you find time.

The first-look movie poster of the film 4G starring GV Prakash Kumar has a mysterious man watching the sitting couple from behind them through an eye covered by his own hand.

An Eye in Hand expresses a divine law - the principles of cosmic or individual existence. It also represents the combination of two human senses - the sight and the touch. Guillermo del Toro Pan's Labyrinth portrays the Pale Man character with his eyes in his palms. Basically the films use such features to create a creepy environment but Pan's Labyrinth adapts a myth behind its Pale Man characterization - An old man was murdered. He resurrects from the death but found that his eyes were grown in his palm. Not knowing his real killer, he went on to slaughter anyone his hands saw.

Several films have potrayed Eye in Hand creatively in accordance with the demand of the script and the potrait of the character - Close up on pulling down the eyes with the fingers or watching through the gap of the fingers.

The Eye in Hand is spread across many religions, art and iconography; from the Mayans to the Egyptians. You can find the Eye of Horus in Selva Raghavan's Nenjam Marappathillai first-look movie poster. In Asia, the eye in the hand is considered to be a sort of a protector called Humsa and also as the All Seeing Eye of Mercy. The mudra inside which the eye is placed is named as Abhaya Mudra (Abhaya is fearlessness and the mudra symbolizes protection, peace, and the dispelling of fear).

The Eye in Hand is potrayed in front of a cosmic dust, which in turn resembles as an eye itself, enlarging the mystery around the Poster of the film 4G. Venkat Pakkar has embedded several of his creative thoughts into iconographies within the poster - visible from the tattoos to the wrist band of the white haired Mysterious Looking Man. What I felt as amazing in the poster is the buttons on the coat of the Mysterious Looking Man that camouflage itself as an object within the cosmic dust.

Hats off to C.V. Kumar Production. After Adhey Kangal, the next release of Thirukumaran Entertainment has an eye in their poster, which is designed to match with the banner design of the production house.
