Hi all!

Any one has any interesting recipes which use beetroot? I usually make salads with grated beets and also stir fried curry by dicing it.

  Have u tried beet root rasam, kuzhambu and kootu ? Just like we do for other rasam, kuzhambu and kootu, have to do the same for beet too.
  
  Then, take some thoor dhal, wash and soak them in water, and drain it. With the dhal, add red chillies, jeera and salt, grind them coarsely. With the paste, add cut onion, beet root grated, mix well and make vadas. It will be very colorful.
  
  Some people makes halwa with beet, but, I yet to try. If u want, u can get them in yahoo or google.
  
  Even for puris, instead of plain water, take out the juice from beet and mix with the flour, salt etc. Do it as usual; u will be getting pink color beet puris.
