Samaiyal has do be done at a high speed due to one of the following reasons :
(1) You are a lonely bachelor :-)
(2) You are a family man (hi..hi..)/woman but have to cook before you leave for office.
(3) azaiyaa virundhaaLigaL - u dont care much for the quality but for the quantity because of the self imposed hospitality
Suggest a few recipes...

I tried a new type of kuruma this wknd and it came out very good. Its fast and simple.
Required items(for 2 persons):
Potato - one medium sized
Onion-1
green chillies-as desired
tomato-one
cauliflower-few florets
Frozen vegetables like peas, carrots and beans.
dried coconut scrapings(easily available in all Indian stores)
garlic paste,
ginger paste ,
turmeric powder,
salt and
MTR Biriyani mix (This is very important igredient and believe me Im not their agent:))
cut the vegetables in any size you want.
In kadai add a teaspoon of butter/ghee. Fry the cut onions until it turns soft. Add the garlic, ginger paste and the green chillies.
Fry them for few seconds. Now add the remaining vegetables, salt and pinch of turmeric powder.
Mix them well. Add 1/2 a glass of water. Cover the kadai with a plate and allow the vegetables to cook.
When the vegetables are done add about a spoon of MTR Biryani mix. Mix it well with the veggie.
Add 2 teaspoons of coconut scrapings. Mix this well. If you like your kuruma with more gravy add some more water and let it cook for few more minutes.
You can now add chopped coriander leaves and your kuruma is ready.
Trust me this kuruma is as good as the ones we get in Saravana bhavan and it tastes great with chappathi/poori

Thats it !

Try this!!!!!
In a hot pressure pan, add one tsp of oil (or as much as you like) and add Jeera (or) Saunf. Add frozen mixed vegetables or fresh vegetables (whatever you like) and fry for a minute. Add a cup of raw rice and fry for another minute. Add salt, chilli powder, turmeric and any kind of masala powder that you have handy (garam masala, biryani masala, pulao masala - just about anything). Add 3 cups of water for 1 cup of rice and close the pressure pan. Cook it for 2 whistles and let it cool down.
Voila, your vegetable rice is ready. I call it 2 minute rice because that is how long it takes for you to do the work.
Is this avasara samayal for you???????????
