hell guys.
this podi is of different dhals that is all i know.My mom used to make it all the time unfortunately she is not around any more. we are kerlite iyers and i am form mumbai.
we usedto mix it with rice and add oil to eat it with. along chips and raita . can some one post this recepie . i wanted ot ask hemant himself but i could not findthe place like "ask hemant "
this should be quite a chlallenmge for you.
i alsohave another question. when i was young as a snack myu mom used to roast grind wheat in hte elanthram and mix that powder with ghee and sugar can some one give me that recepie also i am nt sure if any thing else is also addedx to it.

i do not know about kalth podi but the wheat part yes groud wheat flour with bran is fried in little ghee till u get a great fried smell and add sugar to hot mix, nothing else is added to it.

oh man..quite the confusion lot here..
it's just dry roasted urad dal (1 cup), thuvar dal (1/2 cup) and moong dal (1/2 cup) ground fine with dry roasted red chillies (to taste) and salt.
