Hello Archana,
Visit

I posted here a gujarati sweet recipe called sukhadi. Through my friend, I came to know that God papdi-a traditional one in Maharashtra is a bit similar to sukhadi which is very famous among gujarati people.
Anyway, have a look, if you want.
Bye

Hello Archana,
I should have posted the recipe of GOD-PAPADI/SUKHADI long back when someone had requested for it and I had promised it.
I am sorry, I did not do so. Actually I was under the impression that I had posted it. When I went thro' archives, I found that I had promised but not kept up the promise.
I will post the same as punishment without any delay by tonight.
Please bear with the delay.

Hello archana,
I am not clear what you are talking about whole wheat flour. As far as I know, you can use any brand of the wheat flour like golden temple flour or maya-the one we use to make for chappathis.
Hope I am clear. I prepared this sweet for Diwali and it came out very nicely and it was very very easy, no syrup problem etc. Even, my friends were all wondering what sweet it was since the taste is different because of the gundar.
Hello Mr.Hemant,
That someone was me. I was thinking that you were extremely busy with your schedule, so did not want to disturb you.
Anyways, we all need your version too, because I feel that it is always good to learn diff., methods for a recipe or for anything.
Thanks and Bye

Hello R,
We get Whole wheat flour from King Arthur Flour from Supermarket here. Its not same as our golden temple ka atta like its not completely white as it not refined or bleached i guess. it looks brownish. Well I have to try it and see:)

oh, ok, then u should check with someone because the recipe i mentioned in that thread was told by a Gujarati friend only.
Also, you might have seen another version in that thread mentioned by CI. In that recipe also, they told to use only wheat flour, not the one you said.

God Papadi must always be made with whole wheat flour. Slightly rougher flour is better than finer flour.
