How to make Uppumavu with rava in Kerala style?

First of all sort onion cumming seed ginger and seasm in oil (coconut oil preferred).
Now when the ingredients get well sorted in oil add water enough for cooking the RAVA. Now in another vessel heat rava till it turn a bit brown in clolur. Do not over burn rava. Add the roasted rava in to the precooked ingredients with water and cook. stir well till the water evaporates and the dough becomes thick enough. Add salt for taste and serve hot. You can decorate the UPPUMA with coriander leaves and curry leaves.

Yes that uppumaa was really good. I just loved cooking it....emmm....sorry ... eating it....
