What is the equivalent of celery in Tamil? Green capsicum is the big one (shimla mirch) or the usual pachai milakaai?
I am having high blood pressure and taking Atenolol 50mg twice a day. So I am interested in this diet. Please elobarate, Latha.

It is called Ajmoda in Hindi/Urdu and it will be same like our Coriander Leaves and in the family of Parsley, used widely by Europeans as we use coriander leaves.

Green capsicum is kodai milakai. The big version of green chilli minus the spiciness

Thanks for the pictures of celery. Now I understand. This is very much available in all veg. shops in Switz (where I am presently living). But I have never seen it commonly in Chennai. Have to search for it when I go there in "Ooty kaaykari kadai".
Latha, kodai miLakaai is "Shimla mirch".
