Hello Karthik,
Puzungal Arisi is para boiled rice. They are yellowish to brown in colour. It is easy to digest this rice. Most of the homes down south India, this rice is eaten
Pacchai Arisi is raw rice , it is polished and upper middle and upper classes eat this rice.
Given a choice, I prefer to eat good Pulungal Arisi.

Dear Kathikeyan. Ref: Par boiled rice. Paddy is boiled in water and then spread on a clean platform to dry under the hot sun. When the paddy is well dried the paddy is husked. After this process only we call it rice. That is PAR BOILED RICE,which we call PULUNGAL ARISI.
Rice that is not boiled and dried and husked when it was in the form of paddy is rice that we call PACHCHAI ARISI
