Dear Hemant,
I read tht ladies fingers are very good to increase memory power..any ideas to make them attractive for 2 year olds...they dislike chewing them in big pieces..so i have to cut them very small pieces..they dont like it dry..so I need to cook them up in lots of gravy plus they arent totally ok with hot and spicy food..so the choices are quite limited..but i am sure there must be a way or two ..please help

Hi
Clean and dry okra in paper towels.cot them in small pieces(about 1").Deep fry in oil at medium heat to retain the green color and remove.Keep aside. In a tava add little oil add mustard and urud daal. Then add finely chopped onion and one green chilly(optional).fry for few secs. Then add the fried okra and a tablespoon of grated coconut and salt.Fry for few secs.Remove.Usually children love this cos' its crispy.
If you like to make gravy, fry okra as said above. Then in a mixer add 1/2tbsp coconut cream(or grated coconut)little jeera powder,a green chilly and 3or4 tbsp of yogurt(more can be added according to your taste) blend it smooth.
In a pan sputter mustard and curry leaves and 1tbsp onion add this mixture along with salt when boil resumes reduce heat add the fried okra and heat it for few seconds.Children would love to eat with rice.
These are my mom's recipes which are the favourites of her grandchildren.
