First of all let me congratulate you for the wonderful work. And the best thing I have noticed in you and Mrs. Mano is you both have got a nice mind to share your recipes with others. Thanks a lot for your valuable advice and tips.
And remedy for lice. (Payen)
Custard Apple (I think you call sita pazham) seed is the best it doesn’t have any side effect. All you have to do is take the seeds outer layer, which is in black colour, discard that layer, and then grind the inner seed to a fine paste. Just slightly wet your hair and the scalp not much otherwise u will catch cold if u wet too much since u will have to stand with the paste for 3 hrs. Once the paste is ready you can apply all over ur hair and the scalp and then wait for 3hrs. And then wash off with a mild shampoo. If you do for a continuous 3, 4 days all the lice will go for sure. (And pls note that this paste is very bitter)

Hello Kalyani,
It is true that I had lice in hair when I was in the age group of 5 to 14 when I was in my village.
That was 40 years back.
That makes me running 55th year.
This HEMANT is another Hemant.
Any how the remedy given by you is correct.
Thanks for your kind words about my recipes.

A paste made of peeled bitter almonds is very effective, if done at least twice a week for 2 weeks. Also, boil some basil leaves and neem leaves in water and use that water as the final rinse after shampooing the hair.

My husband suffers from dandruff and also his hair is very weak. I am not sure if that is due to dandruff. Every time I do a massage a very large amount of hair drops.
If anyone can suggest any remedy, it would be helpful.
I would like to know what to do stop the hair fall especially.

Hello aarthi!
Soak the hair with Shelson shampoo for 3 to 5 minutes and then wash the hair thoroughly. There will be instructions on the bottle of shelson shampoo too. If you use it 1 or 2 times, then the problems of dandruff and lice will disappear completely. Then you can begin to use Dabar Amla oil which will stop the hairfall.

Hi Mrs. Mano,
Thank you very much. I will try and search for this shampoo. I am in US, so I do hope I will find it here. Do you know what can be done to make the hair stronger? I heard karvepillai is good. Is that true?

Hello Aarthi!
Curry leaves are good for the growth of hair. In alternative days, you can soak yr hair with curry leaves paste or ponnangkanni keerai paste, for 1 hour and then you can wash the hair. This treatment will help for getting stronger hair. You can also use thick coconut milk for this treatment.

Use Neutrogena T/GEL or T/SEL shampoo. These are medicated and recommended greatly by the dermtologists.
