BLACK EYE BEANS

i do know a maharashtraian way of cooking the balck eye peas . good for chappathis.

TAKE A CUP OF BLCK EYE PEAS AND SOAK THEME OVER NIGHT. MAKE A PASTE OF GREEN CHILIES , GINGER , GARLIC. SET ASIDE.
CUT ONE ONION ADN FRY THEM WELL , WEHN THE RAW SMELL IS GONE THEN ADD THE GREEN PASTE FRY FOR ONE MINUTE THEN ADD THE CHOPPED TOMATOES WHICVH WILL BE TWO OR THREE. NOW LET IT COOK FOR A WHILE TILL THE OIL COMES ON THE SIDES. THEN ADD SOME TURMERIC , I/3 TEASPOOON OF REDCHILLIES , JEERA POWDER, CORRIANDER AND SOME BLACK PEPPER. AF TER A FEW MINUTES ADD THE COOKED DHAL. WHICH YOU WOULD HAVE COOKED ON THE PRESSURE COOKER . MAKE SURE IT IS NOT TOO MASUSHY . LET IT AL SIMMER FOR A WHILE THEN ADD SOME GHODA MASALA TO IT AND GARNISH WITH SOME SLICED ONIONS AND CORRIANDER LEAVES.
GOES WELL WITH CHAPPATHIS AND RICE.
THE RECEIPIE FOR GHODA MALSALA CAN BE FOUND IN HEMANT COOKER FCORNER.
