Hi Usha,
Mini had posted mashed potato making method for one of your queries in the earlier threads. Maybe it went unnoticed by you. Here is the link to it.

Hi CI,
She is asking for a mashed potato recipe with spices like Rasam and Sambar. The one I had posted is an American recipe without any spices!

Hi Mini,
Thanks for correcting me.
Hi Usha,
You could mash the potatoes the way Mini had described. Omit milk and instead add cooked dal's water. You could even add some of the dal and mash it (Your daughter will have protein because of this). Before adding the water, make sure that you add rasam powder or sambar powder in a very mild quantity and boil it well before adding it to the potatoes. If she likes the taste of tamarind, you could substitute milk for the rasam itself while making mashed potatoes. I haven't tried this, but is just an idea. Hope someone else gives you a good recipe.

CI

Hi Usha,
Grammar mistake in my earlier post. Read it as:

Hi Usha,
Since ur kid is small, i think that u can include fresh ground pepper and jeera powder together with potato instead of red chilli powder or sambhar powder. It is good for her digestion, as far as i know.
For my son, I was doing like that. Even for rasam, would not add tamarind, instead, boil tomato, peel skin and mash, mix with water, salt and other ingredients for rasam.
