Hi,
Could you tell me something more about the S.African TAmil cooking...What is it actually centered around ?

well its philosophy is about fusion and adaptation to SA. There are some N. Indian influences, Malay influences, Chinese influences and African/Creole influences but all have a S. Indian basis - prominent use of curry leaf, dhaniya stems and leaves, Ginger Garlic, Chillies, Roasted Curry Powder/Masala and the use of paruppu as spices.
There are meat dishes, Fish, and of course veg.
If there is something in particular that you want a recipe for then say so and I will post it if i can or post the nearest equivalent

Hi,
Chinese and Creole influences on the S.Indian food looks like an interesting combination.Could you please post a dry preparation for chicken/fish(not deep fried), I would love to try it out. Do you have a good recipe for roasted jerk chicken ?
Thanx in advance.

I would love to know if you have recipes for:
Vadda,"fish" and "crab" curry with tamarind, a thin soup called "king soup" or "russou",tomato chutney,"chicken" and "lamb" biriyani. Please forgive any wrongly spelled words as i left Durban a long time ago. I have never come across any dishes in London that can compare with those tastes i remember as a child.I would also like any other recipes you may have.
