Ponnaangganni cheera (keerai)

Hi!
I would like to know the various dishes one could make with Ponnaangganni cheera (keerai). Also, are the stems edible as well, or does one use only the leaves?

I would like to share my Moms very best recipes with you.
PONNANKANNI KOOTU
Keerai -1bunch
yellow moong
dhal -100g
small onion -15nos
green chillie -1
sambar podi -as required
coconut scrap -1tab
cumin seeda -1/4tsp
coconut oil -for seasoning
1.Only leaves along with tender stems can be well cleaned&chop it.
2.With out oil fry the dhall until aroma is coming.
3.cut onions,slit green chillie
4.3/4th cook the dhall in a open pan.
5.Then add the keerai,onion,g.chillie.sambar podi,coconut scrap.
6.dont close the lid, the keerai color will decoloraised.add salt.
7.After cooking part is over,sean cumin seeds &urad dhall with coconut oil&keep simmer the stove for a minute. Please dont forget to tellme your feed back.bye

your recipe was a big hit! the whole pot was "sold out". i added a bit of turmeric to bring out the colour in the vegetable, but everything else was your measurement. thanks a lot!

what is Ponnaangganni cheera (keerai)? Is it the red and green big leaf cheera?
