can we bake cake in a microwave oven?

  yes , u can.
  
  micro on high for 4 minutes for 9*9 pan size.
  i might look uncooked. leave for a few minutes. it will be cooked.

  I have tried this. turns out as good as a oven baked cake.try it and post your feedback
  
  
  Chocolate walnut cake
  ---------------------
  
  3/4 cup powdered sugar
  2 tbsp cocoa powder
  1/2 cup maida(flour)
  1 tsp baking powder
  1/4 cup milk
  1/2 cup oil
  1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  2 tbsp chopped walnuts
  
  1. You need a big bowl which is deep (you need to fill only half of the pan,it will raise quite bit ).
  
  2. Beat the egg and powdered sugar together till its fluffy and the mixture becomes double its volume.
  
  3. Add essence to the egg mixture.
  
  4. Mix 1 tsp of maida with walnut and keep aside.
  
  5. Add oil to the beaten egg and sugar mixture and mix well.
  
  6.Add the flour+cocoa(previously sieved together) little by little and mix . Add milk to get a slightly thinner than soft dropping consistency.
  
  7. Beat at low speed at electric beater. Add walnuts. mix.
  
  8. Pour in a dish and microwave uncovered for 4 mins.
  
  9. Dont microwave more than that even thought the surface of the cake does not feel firm .
  
  10. Let it stand 5 mins.
  
  11. Let it cool for 10 mins before removing from the baking dish.

  i've noticed you forgot to include the eggs in the list of ingredients. So how many eggs do you need?
  Is this true to other cake recipes? Can you bake these cakes in the microwave too?
