Pesticides... It is not only colas, but anything that contains "potable water".

Why is the Indian Press BLIND?

a. Cola firms declare they use "potable water"

b. PFA (prevention of food adulteration act) does NOT include beverages in "food" (rule 65)

c. Sub-section A.01.01 in Appendix B of PFA does not even mention pesticides in beverages

d. PFA only specifies that "Potable water" is to be used in beverages. But then, "potable" itself, is not defined.

e. PFA allows 0.5 ppm arsenic in carbonated beverages, but only 0.01 (max. 0.05) ppm in drinking water.

  I have seen in a company where I was working, the ISI or bureau of INdian standard people were only interested in booze, girls, free money ,five star accommodation, a good trip to nearby hill station with booze and babes. And all these thing gives them certification and ISI mark on the owners product. The inspection is just bogus and bribe is ruling all the quality aspects. I strongly feel some officials, authorities were not entertained by huge-money, favours and free goodies , so the cola was blackmailed by those corrupt bureaucrats whereas they have nothing to do with the realistic tests. Are such agencies, labs, and related staff competent? are they efficient? do they know how to use instruments? the answer is NO, only thing such agencies know is to extract money, favours, gifts and blackmail public and producers.

  CSE cannot be relied as they are incompetent, inefficient, they do not even know how to handle basic tests. I wonder how s-crewdriver technicians, scientist and technologist s***w the country with wrong driving with self motive and interest.they are just bothered for free goodies, gifts, bribe, free trips along with their father-in-laws, free five star lunches. It is all wasting of public money and fooling public. The piece of bone not given to officials make them crazy and inturn producers are blackmailed, booked. It is all misuse of power...All shit,.... bul-l shit.....
