A request by Dr.Tojo J. Thatchenkery (PHD) of GMU
Quote:
"Do you know at what point in Indian history the Gurukul system existed? "

"Well, I am looking at knowledge sharing from a historical perspective. Most historians talk about the Greek, the Romans, and later
about the middle ages etc. Overall, a very Western bias. I thought the Gurukul system was an interesting way of knowledge sharing
where the pupil stayed in the masters house, did house chores, and in turn got educated. But in trying to insert Gurukul system in the
time-line, I couldn't find any reference at all about when this system was prevalent. "

"Anything you can write to educate me will be helpful. Also, are there any books on Gurukul?
thanks"
