Here are some physical fitness requirements (!!!!!) for pursuing an M.Sc at IIT, I came across this document http://www.iitk.ac.in/doaa/pgadmission/msc_bro2.pdf which requires a minimum height, weight, etc. What if I was a dwarf or what if I was just short or very thin (especially in an undernourished nation like India)? What then? The physical requirements boggle my mind!

  some of the physical fitness attributes are based on future job requirements.
  
  i read that candidates below certain wt,ht were not allowed to Engg colleges in the past.(now,no restrictions followed)
  
  many technical jobs req some minimum ht etc to do his duty effectively
