The North Indians identity has tried to estabish itself as the Indian identity with the South Indians being marginalised.

What is needed today is a re-defination of the Indian identity.

Today circumstances has changed and we need to re-establish the Indian identity.

At one time the Aryans claimed racial and cultural superiority.We found this to be a myth.Today we find the intellectual landscape in the South .

However the North Indians are maintaining the status quo of rulership by the Hindi - Raj.

The Prime Ministers are often always the North Indians.Today we are not living what it was 80 years ago but the new millennium.If change is not forthcoming South Indians would breakaway. from the Northies Aryans.The Aryan hegemony cannot continue .

We need a re-defination and a re-establishment of the True Indian Identity .

  Independance was won by Netajis' army consistening of 90% tamilians.Hindians should learn tamil and become patriotic.Otherwise they will continue with their Mahatma Gandhi mentality of showing the other cheek.
  
  When NI was busy defending itself against foreign attacks southern kings conquered and colonised cambodia and malaysia and also helped free malaysia from chinese rule.While NI got thrashed by Chinese in 1962.
  
  So learn tamil and develop martial qualities instead of the current gandhian mentality of showing the other cheek after the former has been resoundingly slapped.

  To everyone out there. I am a Christian South African Indian. That is my correct name, as my family became Christian a few generations ago. Could anybody highlight me as to the contested role, the real "Brahmin people" play in societal India?
  
  People/society there seems to be very divided along the caste, culture, north & south line. Are the lines of separation/divide entrenched in your culture as it was done here along racial lines in our previous apartheid government?
  
  It seems that people are is till trying to identify with people in their own country, and when a person does not share your background he is seen as an being outside the circle.
  
  Indian people need to identify with each other’s differences and not berate each other. Your north south divide should be of concern to everyone in your country, because the separation into Pakistan and Bangladesh was a fairly calmly event compared to the break-up and genocide in the former Yugoslavia.
  
  Indians in South Africa came here as slaves. Several generations later we are part of the most affluent, education and financially viable societies in Africa. Considering my forefathers came here as sugar plantation workers I am very proud to be a South African Indian, even if our population is 1 million in 45.
  
  There will always be people who believe they are suppressed and those who continue to suppress themselves. Yes the North does seem influential in the running of India, But remember a man in my country, went to jail for 27 years just so that people here could be given: choice. Choice to improve their lives or continue in their suppressed paths. You are lucky to have freedom of Choice.
  
  People that want to get the yoke of their backs will only keep talking do so. However talking and nit picking will not get you there. If you want a Cultural Revolution you will get up of your back and put into plan your ideas.
  
  Get involved in the running of you country and be instrumental in the decision making processes.
  
  I wish all u Mother India born individuals the best. I am proud to be Indian as I am sure the rest of you are. I only hope you sort out your differences before another country has to reframe you from trying to sort them out.
