WHY WE MUST AVOID WAR WITH PAKISTAN !

FRIENDS,
The attack on the Army housing colony by militants seem to have justifiably provoked the Nation into considering a "Millitary Option" with Pakistan.
But we need to ponder over the following realities before embarking on such an activity :-

1)OUR DEFFENCE PREPAREDNESS :-
With many of our weapons in developmental or "Over-Hauling" stages... Are we completely prepared to launch an attack on Pak terrorist bases ?
2)OUR INTERNAL SITUATION :-
Communal Problems,Economic situation,impending monsoon making transport of troops and supply difficult etc .. also make it difficult for a millitary campaign that may have to extend for a longer time.Secondly our "Disaster Management System" needs a lot of improvement and yet to be tested in "War-conditions"
3)MUSHARRAF :-
We will be giving to him exactly what he wants - An Excuse to drop a NUCLEAR-BOMB on India.Perhaps we should "GRIT OUR TEETH" and bear with Pak-based terrorism till a democratic government takes over in Pakistan .
Finally are we ABSOLUTELY SURE that Gen Musharraf is genuinely responsible for the recent spate of attacks by Pak-based terrorists on Indian people ? I have a nagging feeling that these terrorists , who want to enhance the hostilities between India and Pakistan ,are as much enemies of Pakistani administration as they are our enemies .In such a case are we justified in wanting to attack Pakistan ?

  I want indo-pak war just because of the following reasons:-
  (1) It(war) will be very interesting to watch on TV
  (2) India's fast growth is slowed down by its huge population, so it will be good to have war which will reduce some population
  (3) If war comes North India will be affected first and most. So we south indians can live happily without Hindi imposition problem. Also since North India is dominated by Brahmins a war will reduce their population which is also good for the country.

  dear funny guy if Pak uses atomic power u wont b there to watch tv,secondly if the bomb is dropped in northern india the hindi belt will move to south india overhelming u in tamil nadu, and u will b minority in tamil nadu with hindi marathi gujarathi bengali orisa kannnadigas around there.

  PS Dilan & funny you are welcome in Sri Lanka anytime. The Tamil population has taken a hit there. You can hide there and guess what you do not have to speak Hindi.

  Though Ideally what you say would be great, at this point india needs to act. If it doesnt it will forever be termed a soft state and there will be more attrocities commited on indian soil. Pakistan will not and cannot drop a nuclear bomb on us, US is monitering pakistan right now and can actually take over the nuclear establichments within 10 days. And mussharraf is not that stupid to attack india (nuclearly). he knows that Pakistan will cease to exist in teh case of a nuclear conflict.
  
  So what must india do? well shoudl attack conventionally and take some land over the IB (international border not LOC) is a short attack ie 3-4 days. THis will surprise pakistan, also after this short attack we should declare a cease fire, this will now make the world communitity as well as pakistan belive that we are not there to annihiliate pakistan. At this point we should hold this captured land as bargaining chips to extradite the terrorists as well as make pakistan come down on the terrorists in their country. Unless ofcourse pakistan does all this without a war, which I think pakistan will not. By the way in any attack scenario, india shoudl not go as far as lahore, so as not to threaten pakistan soveirgniety.
  
  At this point this has become a necessity for the well being of india

  Indian BJP is playing politics... Vajapy never keeps his words, he is acting as if a 5yr old child playing with the nation, when the THEHELKA bribary came out, there came a Kargil, i dought if was made by INdia itself, cos there were clear proof of terrorist crossing border, but government remaind silent and in a fortnight they started attacking (in Indian soil) never dared to cross the border.
  
  if i but it short, i would say India is the BIggest Democratic COuntry in the world, and also she represents the Third World Cuntries, so ofcourse the World expect a lot better thigns from India, nto always craying on the same matter of KAshimre always, we ask World to support and dont want them to put there head in ur matter!!!

  It does not make sense about Kargil because if they purposemy missed it it looks like a big blunder. SO kargil could not have been on purpose. It was definitely a intelligence failure. About the other stuff that is happening today, I dont think there will be a war either, however I think if we sit down and start bargaining with pakistan the problem for india will not be solved. FIrst pakistan should stop terrorism before we sit down face to face to discuss crap. By support its called diplomatic support. this every country does, trying to garner international support, even america did this before attacking afganistan. By them putting theirhead is a more hands on approach we do not want that, this should be solved bilaterraly, because if not we might have to agree to alloow america or who ever to set up a base in idnia that would be a big mistake.....

  Ha Ha greatest Joke by Playa. If we want we van finish off Pakistan so easily. The only thing is that it would affect our economic growth. But if need be, we are ready to strike if they continue with this problem of cross border terrorism.
  Remember, India is India and Pakistan is just Pakistan and winning a war against India and wining a cricket match against us are two different things. In India-Pak war, there are no glorious uncertainities..India is just going to win EASILY.
