Dear Fiza,
The pictures U've sent are extremely disturbing and
feel very sad for plestinian victims.The Israelis should know that
occupying Palestine is very wrong .Negotiations is the only
way.But primarily I stress that Palestinians too should
reciprocate by desisting from Suicide bombings and terror attacks
against civilians.Those Jews in occupied territories must go back
to their respective countries from where they came.
YESTERDAY A GROUP OF MUSLIMS SET ABLAZE A TRAIN
CARRYING HINDU PILGRIMS. The losses are as follows 26 WOMEN, 14
CHILDREN AND 17 Men. Surely their pictures will be far more
disturbing !
The above incident has created a situation of
extremely tense nature in this country ,reminiscent of events 10
years ago.Hindu-Muslim relationship is going to sink all time
low.
Yesterday in a library I had the good fortune to
browse thru the Holy Quran for a few hours. I'll study in depth at
a later date (Once my exams are over).It filled me with admiration
and respect for your faith.The Holy Quran covers every aspect of
human existence and also man's relationship with God.But I also
found in the Holy Quran the main reasons for the major difference
of perception.
1)Islam treats non - muslims (Especially Hindus and
Religions originating in Indian Sub-continent) as "Kafirs" and
enjoins upon faithful to convert them.This has happened in India
for more than 4 centuries under Islamic Rule.
2)IDLOATRY :-In uism idols are different codes and
Icons (Like the ICONS we use in computer) to represent various
aspects of divine and also the devotee's level of spiritual
progress.Condemning idolatry is a BLASEPHEMY to Hinduism.
3) Further the partition of India(Creation of Pakistan)
on account of Muslims wanting to have a nation of their own has
only made things very difficult.But thankfully We Hindus are a
tolerant breed .
HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR HINDUS ISLAM WOULD NEVER
HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO EXIST IN INDIA AFTER PARTITION.This happened
in Europe where Islam was forceble evicted by the Christian
Church.The current phase of Islamic terrorism and events in
Kashmir make it difficult for Hindus to be tolerant towards
muslims.
MANY HINDUS FEEL THAT IF KASHMIR GOES OUT OF
INDIA,THEN IT WILL BE IN THE INTERESTS OF SECURITY AND
JUSTICE FOR INDIA TO BE FREE FROM ISLAM ! This will lead to a ban
on practice of Islam among those loyal to India and within Indian
territories.This is a dangerous situation indeed .!

WE BOTH (U & I)MUST FIND A SOLUTION TO THESE TWIN
PROBLEMS (Hindu-Muslim & Indo-Pak) SOON ! THAT IS WHY GOD BROUGHT
US (U & I)TOGETHER ON DEC 26TH 2001.

It fills me with sadness to note that Hindu-Muslim
relationship is yet a long way from improvement, and this will
have an indirect impact on Indo-Pak relationship also.
Sad as it may be the events in Israel is far away
but the relatives and freinds of those Hindu pilgrims are grieving
nearby !! There is another bout of horrifying riots waiting to
happen ... only time will tell !
Dear Fiza, what ever happens I wish that both of
us continue to be good friends and keep our channel of
communications open and unaffected by the Hindu-Muslim & Indo-Pak
relationship.

  There is a deep animosity and hatred among the Hindus in India especially northern India toward Muslims since they were under Islamic rule for nearly a millenium although being a very huge majority compared to the muslims and the atrocities commited on them through rape, murder and destruction of temples and building mosques or khabaristans (burial grounds) on the sites can be never be forgotten quite easily. These barbaric activities are very neatly recorded in the books written in the palaces of these Islamic kings like for example babarnama of babar. They patronised such things as for them Hindus were kafirs who had to either convert to Islam or die. As it is told that hatred begets hatred the killings and destruction going on now would not stop until the two communities sit together and discuss about solving these contentious issues. Muslims are the best people to stop this violence by allowing the Hindus to construct the temple there and peacefully building a mosque in the vicinity. This is the only solution and no government or court in India can build a temple or a mosque in Ayodhya without a lot of bloodshed and carnage. Let us hope that commonsense prevails among the politicians and religious leaders in India.
