CONVERTING TO ANOTHER RELIGION IS AN ACT THAT QUESTIONS THE "INTELLIGENCE AND INTENTION" OF GOD.?Gloria,You have been born as a Christian.This is because God wants you to work for Christianity WITHOUT HURTING OTHER RELIGIONS.
If a person is born to a Woman who is poor,illeterate and not good-looking , THEN DOES IT MAKE SENSE , for him to consider another woman (who is rich,goodlooking etc.. )as his mother ?
Religion is also like your country ...LIKE YOUR MOTHER .Your perception that Islam is a better religion is due to your own WEAK AND FEEBLE MIND and of course lack of faith in Lord Christ.This is wrong on your part.Be a good Christian .Lord Jesus sacrificed so much, suffered a great deal for all of us. Love Him and Live for Him...
As regards conversion to Islam, Iam happpy being a Hindu but at the same time I respect others' rights to follow their religion.I condemn Fanaticism in any form , EVEN THAT WHICH HAS ENTERED HINDUISM, IN THE RECENT PAST.Proselytism (Conversion) is also an act of Fanaticsm.Perhaps this is one reason why religions of the Occident create a great deal of unpleasantness and sorrow, in the Orient.
God has created religions in relation to the following fators :-
1. TIME
2. PLACE (GEOGRAPHY)
3. CIRCUMSTANCES
4. PEOPLE (LEVEL OF HUMAN DEVELOPMENT ,CUSTOMS AND
TRADITIONS)
5. OBJECTIVES
If any religion moves away fom the above factors then it creates a lot of problems for itself and others.Right from the time Islam has entered my country, India, there has been a whole lot of painful problems for India and Hindus .Some of the prominent ones are:-
1. destruction of the Indigineous religion viz Hinduism and its Temples, forced conversion, including the use of Rape and Murder,
2. Looting of the country's wealth,leading to this nation's poverty
3.Usurping a portion of India and Her people Viz creation of Pakistan and consequent problems, Wars, Terrorism etc
4. Using their religious sanction as an excuse to increase their population, unwilling to practice Family planning
5. Current Kashmir problem and also Buring of Hindu Pilgrims, bya Muslim mob in Feb 27th 2002 leading to the Communal frenzy in Gujarat
6. insistance on following the Shariat Law even when the Nation is a secular democracy, there by leading to Hindu Communalism.
7.Equality in Islam is a myth .During 4 Centuries of Islamic rule, Nothing was done to Eradicate cste system in India,Unfair tax was Levied on Hindus.Many north Indian Muslims look down upon their South Indian Counter parts. Urdu speaking Muslims Humiliate the non Urdu speaking Muslims -this lead to creation of Bangladesh from Pakistan.
IN SPITE OF ALL THESE ,THE HINDUS OF INDIA HAVE BEEN MORE THAN MAGNANIMOUS IN ALLOWING THE EXISTENCE OF ISLAM IN INDIA, WITH FULL HONOR AND DIGNITY.
Yes, the destruction of the Mosque (Babri Masjid 1992)is a tragedy BUT it is only as tragic as any Hindu temple destroyed by the Muslims, Which they've done plentiful.
I DEARLY WISH THAT THE MOSQUE BE BUILT AT THE SAME PLACE where it existed previously and the Temple be built else where.
I beg of you NOT TO SEND your E-Mail preaching Islam to anyone in India, as this could only vitiate the already fragile Hindu-Muslim relationship in India.I've no dislike for Islam but preaching Islam in the current circumstances could leae a bad message !!
I FEEL THAT YOU ARE SUFFERING FROM A "STOCKHOLM SYNDROME "in relation to Islam, i.e you are too frightened of Islam that even a few good words or deeds by them is "MAGNIFIED " IN YOUR EYES and the bad deeds done by them is "DIMINISHED" in your Eyes.
Religion, LIKE A NATION, is what you make it out to be.IF YOU NEGLECT THE RELIGION OF YOUR BIRTH THEN YOUR RELIGION BECOMES A FAILURE LIKE "ZORASTRIANISM" .
