Share your funny or crazy stories of being "hit-on".
Mine was when I was in the train and this guy came upto me and asked me if I was tamil in Tamil and I just looked dumbfounded so that he'd think I didn't understand and then he started talking in english and asked me where I was from so I said that I was born in Canada (which I am not) and that I was Sinhalese, my stop came and I could not have been happier to escape, cuz if he asking me questions about my being Sinhalese I would have been found out.

  k, Though it happened some years back. I am sharign this here, cause, I find many threads, to be either hurting others or talking nonsense.
  
  Atleast this thread is started with innocence and curiosity to talk something entertaining....
  
  here goes my story

  I was in a private vehicle with my friend and this guy was following me, for a long time. When my place came, I got down from her vehicle, and had to wait for the bus. I was carryign lot of small covers and one of which felldown.
  
  He came hurriedly to me, picked up and started picking conversation. I was seriously shocked and embarassed. He said, he had seen me before and asked if I was a punjabi? I said no, I am a maharashtrian(which obviously am not :D) and when he asked my name, I said NISHA. He said he is Ashok and speaks marathi.
  
  I was damn scared, if he woudl talk in marathi and then I would be caught. I was young and lil more naive that time. Then my bus came, I gave him wrong name, wrong info bout me and hurried to the bus.
  
  He came fast behind me and said
  
  "I actually dont know u, u fascinated me, and I wanted a chance to talk...take care.." and waved with a friendly smile. (IT was seriously just like in a movie)
  
  I was so tensed and scared to pass by that way for atleast next 15 days. Now if I think of all that, its all good memories which I laugh and feel silly about.

  I was in college in Chennai when the following happened to me. My friend and I were on a bus around afternoon time going home from college, and the bus was relatively empty. A bunch of guys came up to us and one particular guy looked at me and said "I love you !". I was extremely shocked and my friend started giggling. I would have too but those days were difficult for me because my husband (at that time, my sweetheart, not yet husband) was away and I was moody. I tried to ignore the guy but he started going into a whole dialogue lke.. "please say you love me too or I will jump from the top of LIC builiding...." Then he started talking to my giggling friend saying "sister, why don't you tell your friend to love me too..." She was totally out of control laughing and I got so mad. By this time everyone in the bus is looking at me as if I am some kind of a mean person but doing nothing to help me. I guess they assumed I knew the guy !!
  
  Finally our stop came and I just rushed out of the bus, luckily the guy and his friends did not follow us :-)

  Phd I was lol at your post, I think I would have reacted like your friend tooo, it was obvious that the guy knew you were uncomfortable sooo he kept going to embarass you.

  I could not help laughing. I can imagine the bus situation as I have travelled by bus only. Such guys are mostly harmless and forget the raggings then and there. Nevertheless one undergoing that situation would be lil embarassed.
  
  A bunch of guys used to climb our bus, and sing all old and nwe songs. (believe me they had good voices too)...though we kept our long faces, all the regular passegers in our bus used to enjoy their song session which was a tonic to an otherwise long and tiring journey.
  
  Apart from these, questionss like
  
  " Hey what do u carry in ur tiffin box, why dont u share ur lunch with me?" etc would be there. We used to be tensed those days.....now, I guess we can laugh it off

  I will tell u a real incident.
  
  Everyone says, I don't look like tamilian, but north Indian. I used to get ppl talk about me in front me :)), some time it can be so hilarious, I have to control my laughter, so that I can listen to what they talk, any way.
  
  I was a Petrol Station, after I put the petrol, I went inside to pay, there was this Tamil cashier standing, he said '£25 please', as I did not have the exact money, I gave him, 2, £20 pounds notes, which makes up the £40. So now he needs to give me £15 back in change, he gave me some money, as I don't normally check the change, cos I trust every body!
  
  Once I got into my Car, I noticed he only gave back £5 in stead of £15, so I went up to him and said in Tamil, I gave you £40, so u should have given me £15 back, but you only gave me £5.
  
  He was shocked, he said, 'I thought you were a north Indian', while saying this, I saw the £10 note in his hand, if he was honest, he would have given me the money, even if he made a mistake, he still would have given me the money! but he never, cos he was guilty!
  
  Any way, so I said to, so 'You only took the money', because I look like a northie, he was so embarrassed, he just did not say a word, but gave the money back to me.

  well this story is really funny... first i was scared but now i think of it, it's really hilarious..
  
  here is my story....
  
  i went to the mall with my parents, aunt and my cousins.. my aunt told my cousin (10yrs old) to go with me to buy her earrings. Soon as we reached to the store, I heard someone saying about giving phone # and write it down or something..i thought they were talking to someone and i was hesitated to look back. then.. there was this guy (with 4 friends) came close to me and gave me his phone # but i refused to take the # and didnt say anything.. i tried to escape from that place but my cousin was busy looking at the earrings.. she had no clue what was going on. i tried to tell her but poor 10yrs old didnt undersand my situation and kept asking me what was wrong.. when i turned around and looked they werent there so i thought they left.. i told my cousin to decide quickly what she wants to take .. when i turned around i saw them coming again.. i was panicking and didnt know what to do.. one of his friend came up to me and told me his friend likes me and asked if i have a boyfriend.. that's when my cousin realized what i was trying to telll her..she dropped everything and ran behind me looking for our parents.. there we again bumped in to them.. this time i decided to speak up.. when that guy came close to me and told me he likes me and he cant live without me, i asked him if he really likes me and he said 100%.. so i told him if he really likes me then go ask my parents permission to get married..all this time i thought that he would refuse to talk to my parents and leave without bothering me anymore.. but i was really shocked when he asked me to show my parents.. i didnt know what to do.. i saw this couple around my parents age and i pointed at them and told him they are my parents.when he went to talk to them my couisn and i were escaped from that place.. i wonder what happened after.. hope fully i dont see him again..   I'm lovin this forum, you all brighten my day with your stories. SV that was a good one!!!! LOL
  
  One time I was in the subway station on my way home from school and a group of tamil guys were gathered together and talking loudly. When I walked by one of them called out to me, normally I would have ignored the cry and went about my day. But that day I was in a bad mood and this gave me a reason to vent my anger. Sooo I walked over to where they were so I can give them a piece of my mind.
  As I started to walk over to them I was getting more and more worked up (I was also thinking of things to say to them) and was glaring in their direction. The guy who called out to me started to walk towards me (at this point i was a bit anxious but still determined to yell) and he said "hi!!! how are you doing, I haven't seen you in over a year" I was totally taken aback!!! As I got closer (I wear glasses and at this time I wasn't wearing it) I realized that he was a friend I knew from class. He told me that he had forgotten my name thats why he said "acca" to get my attenton. Then as he went on talking I couldn't help but laugh at my situation, he must have thought I was crazy. In the end, he had managed to change my mood and I also learned to always wear my glasses!!!!!
