  This is because when some is in love ....they don't show themselves fully to their partner. They pretend that they are funny till they get married. This is possible because they spend only limited time before marriage.
  
  After marriage they have to see each other for 24 hours and the true color comes out. This applies to both sex.
  
  Mary should realize it is not possible for a human being to be funny all the time. If you expect ur hubby to be funny all the time then surely you will be disappointed. The problem might be with you too. Please dont expect anything too much.

  after marraige things will definetly change . But we need to keep track of what we are doing in a good relationship , otherwise marraige is a mess. Husband and wife should respect each other and communicate their feelings periodically. This I try to follow after facing the reality. We speak very nicely and respectfully andtake care of guests very nicely. But when taling to a husband or wife who are going to live with us for the entire life , we deal in the other way.   A friend can be good spouse and a good friend at the same time. Frank and Open Communication is really important and no stops at that. There will be some disagreements, but atleast it is in the open. You get to know the person better and adjust better. Ego and Pride are definite enemies that can hinder communication. But being a friend in the first place makes it easier to ego and pride fall by the wayside. Mutual respect for the relationship will help the relationsship grow.

  hievery budy....shadi ka mutlub sirf hubby nahi bulke susral bhi hai yeh rishta ik larki ko poore khandan se jorta hai....agar compromise kum to happy life,agar compromise ziyada to danger life..or its not a life..life woh hai jise hum dilo jaan se jien.lekin agar love hai to sub kuch mushkil sahi muger khud bakhud compromise hota chala jata hai.

  I am married to my best friend.We have been friends for a few years,then on someone's suggestion we thought about marriage.We are still friends,but now for a lifetime.The answer for ur question is yes,good friends can be a good couple,atleast in some cases.But be ready to accept other sides of his character which you have never seen.Best wishes.
